my music writing is boring. i like simple ideas with more complex execution. intro, verse, chorus, bridge, verse, chorus, outro...i like symmetry.

I like variety. I think it's me listening to way to much choppy progressive stuff...

well that's sort of what i mean. i liek to write what i consider progressive punk =)

like my latest song starts in 15/8, then goes to 4/4 for awhile with a couple guitar solos throughout, then into 3/4 for the outro, fun stuff

and my song before that jumped between metal and punk and latin acoustic so yeah my songs suck :(

oh and i'm doing a cover of eleanor rigby that is more techno influenced

well the writing is almost done but we probably won't record it till about april but i'll put up stuff as we record, we have some other wtuff we're recording next sunday so woot.

Is it a problem that most of what I've been listening to lately is terrible mainstream rap, r&b, pop, etc? :-\

I listen to a lot of rap as well. I went from hating it to loving it in like the course of one show I went to (Del Tha Funkee Homosapien).

I think I've downloaded at least 30 rap albums in the last few months.
