Hows everyone doing?

Our bassist doesn't know the band name yet.
Nor does he know we have a gig at the end of March.
Nor does he even really know he's our bassist.

I have to call him today and see if he can swing by so we can test him out...more like, so we can be sure he'll want to play. Bass players 'round here are hard to find.

We don't have real bass players around here, we have to convince our rich guitarist friends that if they buy bass guitars it will broaden their musical horizons and they'll get famous like Yngwie.

Most people can't afford to have even guitar/bass and guitar/bass amp in the first place.
But there's all these sucky *** guitarists who think they're cool.
And then there's a bunch of metal/hardcore bands, most of which suck.

How's it going?

I used my Travis Barker Signature sticks today and band practice, I wasnt using my kit so I thought id use them lol. No white makrs though which was weird cus I used them on my kit and I have a few white marks but none.

Theyre amazingly comfortable! Ill probably sand the bead and shoulder of the stick so I can use them more on my kit.

Josiah, how can you make those split subdivisions groove?

I messed around with 8th triplet notes mixed in with 8ths as an ostinato for a few rock + funk grooves, both with backbeats fallign on the 2 and the 4, and the nearest beat on the skewed ostinato, I just can't get any groove from it at all, it sounds all out of time and nasty, any ideas or things I can try?
