I think you need some sound editor program (Kif said something about using Cool Edit), and drop the songs you want into it, and record yourself talking a bit about each one and fit those parts in between the songs.


I was thinking of doing one too, just so y'all can hear my secks-ay voice (well, I think most of you have, actually, if you've ever listened to any of my band practice or live recordings). The only problem I'd have is that I only tend to find out about new music through here anyway, so anything I'd put on would be nothing new to most of you anyway.


Side note: Does anyone have/know of software that can be used to record streaming audio?

I use that. Works for movies too.

It says 30 day evaluation, but I've had it for about 3 months and it still says I have 17 days left. (I tend to leave it open for days at a time though...hmmm)

I mainly want it coz there's always stuff on Purevolume which is only available to stream, including some stuff I'm thinking of putting on a podcast, if I do one.

Eek. Then I don't know. To use the program, you have to be able to right click, go to properties, and find out the direct URL to the sing.

I'm not sure how that works for purevolume :(

You should, great band. They are like garage rock meets noise meets experemental music meets punk. Good stuff. Their earlier albums are better like Sister and EVOL.

Can you maybe recommend some stuff with really heavy, punchy breakdowns, in podcast form? I wanna get into more that sort of thing but generally don't know where to start.

I've known about that tour for awhile, but I'm not a big BTBAM fan :-\

I don't think I ever heard about it. If I did, I had no idea it was coming to Buffalo.

I enjoy BTBAM, and I'd love to see DEP, so I'll probably end up going.

DEP is insane live. If you've not seen them yet that alone is worth it.

I was going to see them at Warped, but they were one of the bands that got rained out.

I just found out that the show is only $8, too. :D

More good news: Less Than Jake is touring with A Wilhelm Scream next year, and they already have a Buffalo date scheduled for February. :D

LTJ has one of the best live shows I've ever seen. I don't even like them, but they are so fun live.

I like Less Than Jake quite a bit, so it's good to know that they're fun live. Plus, A Wilhelm Scream is playing, so I really can't go wrong. Seeing AWS for the fourth time = :D:D
