He made a spam thread and this is what he put :
for posting in the thread like it was funny to you, then narcing like a little pus.sy, you are jimmy page
But the really funny thing is this, even though he neg repped me..it took none of my points off
Whats even funnier is when the do that but forget to click the neg rep, so they end up giving you ++.

ashman 01-27-2005 03:24 PM

Why do they have to be so negative?

*gets neg repped for bad joke*

rik 01-27-2005 03:29 PM
What do you guys think of "Afraid to shoot strangers?"
One of my favourite Maiden moments ever is in that song when it hits 2:55.

Cheers for whoever rep+ me to counter the little bitch that neg repped me, you should've left a name. And thanks Lord Abortion, I would rep back but apparently i must spread more rep around first.

ashman 01-27-2005 03:40 PM

Afraid To Shoot strangers is a great song, one of the best of FOTD :thumb:

IAJP 01-27-2005 04:01 PM

What does everyone think of Blaze Bailey?
Everyone in my school goes on about him having a really powerful and awesome voice.

Compare it to Bruce...:amaze: he's got nothing on him.

Josh 01-27-2005 04:08 PM

i got neg repped by 1 point the other day...thanks for rep ollie, you gave me 3 rep points! wow! after i gave you 13. lol.

blaze does have a strong voice, but is nowhere near as good as bruce. a

and by the way i went through this thread the other day ++repping everyone :thumb:

IAJP 01-27-2005 04:14 PM

That's no problem, I repped you back.
:D

GurS 01-27-2005 04:20 PM

i for one like blaze's voice, but it's kind of bruce's voice but in Paul's range. he's a mixture of the two.

Blaze maths:

Paul's voice - gruffness + Brucey's silky smooth tone = Blaze

GurS 01-27-2005 04:21 PM

sorry, ash, i can't rep back :(

IAJP 01-27-2005 04:22 PM

Yeah I suppose so.
I really like Di'Anno though.

metallicadrummer123 01-27-2005 04:38 PM

Hey could someone recommend me some good songs from Killers? The only ones I know are killers and wrathchild (and they are awesome of course) and I'd like to hear some more before I buy the album.

ForiegnPenguin 01-27-2005 04:52 PM

Purgatory, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Drifter.......

metallicadrummer123 01-27-2005 05:02 PM

Thanks. I'll be sure to check those songs out.

Jay S. Bach 01-27-2005 06:32 PM

Hi all, A newbie here.

I can't believe the number of postings this Iron Maiden thread has! It's scary, actually. :amaze:

On another note, I, too, have been on a Maiden rebirth. I used to have some of their earlier stuff on vinyl, then got into other music and stop buying metal, altogether. But, slowly I've been playing along with and listening(especially in the car) to more Maiden. I'm a bass player, now, but used to be a guitarist. We're talkin' early 90's.......I played the guitar licks. Now, I listen more closely to Steve Harris' bass lines, and I'm impressed. Not so much for his technical ability(he's **** good......but playing jazz all these years, I've heard and played with some greats), but his ingenuity, tone, and songwriting.

I bought the 2 DVD's that came out recently, "Iron Maiden: The Early Years, Pt.1", and, "Iron Maiden: THe legacy of the Beast"(the latter being the unauthorized documentary of the band). I am simply amazed at how hard this band has worked since its inception, and how many members have actually been in the band. I'm particularly interested in Dennis Stratton. I thought he was a very articulate person, and reading up on his background, he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Does anyone know of his recordings outside of Maiden? I know he is presently in a band called, Praying Mantis. Does anyone have any Mantis CD's they would recommend? Also, does anyone know for sure if he's the one responsible for bringing the dual-guitar harmonies(so much a part of Iron Maiden all these years), or was Steve Harris already writing that way before Stratton joined?

I just bought a used copy of "Brave New World", and am burning it to my hard drive this very minute. What I heard in the car sounded awesome. I can't wait to see them if they come anywhere to northern California. Just curious, though, which lead guitar parts are Janick Gers?

ForiegnPenguin 01-27-2005 07:11 PM

Sorry I can't answer any questions about Maiden, but welcome. I think Janick does the final solo on Blood Brothers.

joedaddy21291 01-27-2005 07:21 PM

Josh 01-28-2005 04:10 AM
Sorry I can't answer any questions about Maiden, but welcome. I think Janick does the final solo on Blood Brothers.
you be right there i think, if i remember rightly from when i watched rock in rio (which was about november), its his style of soloing.

i'm hoping to go to download to see them. well download scotland anyway, its easier to get to from northern england.

steveharris 01-28-2005 04:11 AM

i like Dave murray's style of soloing, just because its fast and furious whereas Adrian Smith is more rhythmic (if thats a word lol)
