TSL > Brand New

hey, you're not cory! 05-15-2005 03:31 PM

Brand New at their worst shat all over The Starting Line's best stuff

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:33 PM
I'd hardly compare a band who's latest CD has a song with the lyrics "I'm gonna tear your ass up like we just got married/And you're all mine now" to Brand New, who have some of the greatest lyrics in pop-punk in my opinion
That's the best line I've ever heard. Because it's what I'm going to have on for prom in the limo. :D

cbmartinez 05-15-2005 03:33 PM

Starting Line= energetic, fun, melodic, amazing harmonies
Brand New= Boohoo, I cut myself, we try to be dark

RissaPoodle 05-15-2005 03:34 PM
That means half the time, it is bad
But you still have that 50% chance that it ISN'T bad. :)

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:35 PM

The only reasons I don't like BN is that they are morally overrated since Deja Entendu. It's like they were looking for every way to sell out a scene.

Kif 05-15-2005 03:35 PM
Starting Line= energetic, fun, melodic, amazing harmonies
Brand New= Boohoo, I cut myself, we try to be dark
The Starting Line = tired, worn-out melodies with tongue-in-cheek lyrics
Brand New = Jazzy melodies with detailed and amazing lyrics

The fact is that both of these bands sound completely different, so they can't be compared that well

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:37 PM

New FOB > New TSL > New TBS > New BN

/the end.

Untitled 05-15-2005 03:38 PM

Just shut up, all of you. Its obvious mine and adams band would just piss all over TSL, and BN.

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:38 PM

What is your bands name anyway?

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:39 PM

Do girls like take poops together? (Harold & Kumar go to white castle)

What new Brand New?

New FOB > New BN > New TSL > New TBS

I said it, FOB > BN

Until the new album is released

Butler is cool.

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:41 PM

I just saw a AILD vs. Bleeding Through thread in hardcore/emo forum and my wrist jerked at a 180 degree angle and hit the X button "by mistake" :thumb:

Silverstein is where it's at Nugs.

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 03:42 PM

Butler - The ass-a-phone :thumb:
Jazzy melodies with detailed and amazing lyrics
Jazzy melodies? When I think of Brand New I sure do think of Miles Davis.

Gnarmageddon 05-15-2005 04:00 PM

Look at the newest gimmick.

It's been posting in all of Dan's Revolution threads.

Edit:  There's an Xbox 360 one too.

Figures.

Understanding In a Crash 05-15-2005 04:51 PM

That logo for PS3 looks so stupid.
See any of teh nice ladeez?

:thumb:
Oh yes, there were plentiful nice ladies in tonight. None interested in me, sadly (as usual). I'm hoping to meet someone for fun and games on Tuesday night though. Last few weeks on Tuesdays I've been dead hyper in Ziggy's, wandering around under a pill buzz talking to randoms. I think I come across as really fun and friendly when I'm like that, so maybe I should see if I can get anywhere with someone.

Gawd knows I could use some rumpy-pumpy.

PDWAB 05-15-2005 05:30 PM

Is there anything cool about the Xbox360 and PS3 besides better graphics and online capabilities?

Gnarmageddon 05-15-2005 05:31 PM

Is rumpy-pumpy what I think it is?

-The X360 has a removable hard drive that you can import music to.
-Both have built in wireless controllers.

Ummm....That's all I can think of.

billiejoe84 05-15-2005 05:33 PM
Is rumpy-pumpy what I think it is?
What do you think it is?

/me notices that Joel is online at the same time as me for the first time in ages

Yo Joel, 'sup?

It doesnt sound worth buying, I'm fine with my Ps2.

Gnarmageddon 05-15-2005 05:35 PM

Yeah. I'm thinking the same thing. I'm starting to think that the Revolution looks better than both of them, anyway.
