aah that sucks. :( Didn't they only release one album (Handshakes For Bullets)?
Nah, they only just put out a second, and announced their break-up on the day it was released.

It may just be a brilliant Wildhearts-esque publicity stunt.

It would be cool if it was but I somehow doubt it...although it is weird how they announce their break up on EXACTLY the same day as their album is released....weirdness.

Iai 06-23-2005 01:55 PM

Didn't another band do exactly the same thing in the late 80s? An American hardcore group, I think.

Clunge 06-23-2005 02:03 PM

Kinesis announced they were going to split up after the release of their second album a few months ago. I bought it off amazon today

...I had a long nighttime drive tonight, so I put this album on and it was amazing as usual. The last song is so great.
I don't know :( I bought A Story In White when it first came out (four years ago now, which is a depressing thought), and slowly came to love it. Then I just didn't buy Sleep and Release or Seclusion for some reason, despite being made fully aware of them by reviews and things.
I downloaded both songs you had posted in Forced Listening a while ago. I love the band now and I want to buy a cd, so I guess I'll just get "A Story In White".

Girls Against Boys - Venus Luxure No.1 Baby

I guess I've just been in a mood to hear this album. It's been a while.
Gentlemen is disgustingly overrated. A few great songs, a lot of crap.
Well the few great songs is correct, but as for "filler crap" it's not quite there. It's more like B- material.

ZEROthirtythree 06-24-2005 09:10 PM

Atheist and Nas

Yah it's awsome. If you like that you should check out Head Hunters. Chameloen is 15 minutes of pure funky goodness.
Well the few great songs is correct, but as for "filler crap" it's not quite there. It's more like B- material.
I suppose. I still say it's a brilliant album.
I suppose. I still say it's a brilliant album.
It's above par (a C) that's all, nothing more and nothing less. In my eyes it's far from "brilliant", it's just a solid album. It's an album that you don't listen to more than once in the same day and that's the measuring stick for me. If I can listen to any given album more than once (all the way through) in the same day then something clicked.

pixiesfanyo 06-25-2005 08:20 AM

Les Savy Fav - Rome (Written Upside Down)

What do you think the crap songs are?
