POINTLESS5448 04-07-2006 05:03 AM

im always bumming rides off of people and im starting to feel bad. im getting a car too so its going to be sweet.

Drop The Baby 04-07-2006 08:22 AM

The new Lawrence Arms CD Oh! Calcutta! is really really good.

I always wanted LA to play more hard fast songs than their slower stuff, and this album is so quick it's amazing

RetiredAt21 04-07-2006 09:02 AM

I'm 19 and I don't have my license. I don't have a car, so me getting my license would be pointless, really.

POINTLESS5448 04-07-2006 09:21 AM

ok so my school has a firewall thing and usualy i can go where ever i want on this site but today it wont let me go to the punk forum so ive been going into the thread which was posted in last and pressing previous thread a million times. every time i post it goes to the last thread posted so i have to go through all of it again. this will be my last post in the punk forum for today. farewell.

I've decided that now that I'm 17, I'm going to seek employment.

I've come up with only two places to even apply.

Brain Toad 04-07-2006 09:47 AM

My favorite record store is hiring. But only for the Spring and I don't think I could really keep a schedule for a job right now.

asdf 04-07-2006 10:01 AM

I would enjoy working at a record store, but I don't see that happening. The record store that just opened only blocks away is small, and they are not hiring (the only employees seem to be two brothers, and they're content with that). Plus their lack of music selection makes me mad.

The second record store downtown would be really nice to work at, and I do know people who work there. However, I doubt their hiring, and everyone who works there is extremely knowledgable about music. Plus they're apparently on the verge of closing, which really sucks.

So as of right now, I'm going to apply at Yesterdogs, the local hotdog venue place (which sounds like it would suck, but it would actually be a really cool place to work, and the other employees are pretty cool and listen to really good music while they work), and a vintage clothing store (because it would be like having a job where I sit in my attic all day).

TakeWarning 04-07-2006 10:08 AM

Working at a CD store would be mad-dog.

Biscuit_box 04-07-2006 11:46 AM

There's nothing like sitting in your attic all day. Although there's nothing in my current attic as it's a rented house. My new attic will be pretty sweet.
My college is starting to restrict alot of sites including bebo.com. Just hope they don't block this (or forums in general or myspace). I don't want to go all ninja and hack around it all.

Edit: Has anybody seen posts from Cheeser lately?
I miss his and Nicks little fights and how I wrote a song for both of them and Nick won.
/memories

Cheeser was banned and never came back, I think...

Liebensaft 04-07-2006 01:36 PM

I work at a supermarket. Fuxing punx or what?

me likes punk 04-07-2006 01:51 PM

Definatly punx.

I applied for Walden's Books, but I never got a call from them.

asdf 04-07-2006 01:59 PM

I used to really want to work at subway as a "sandwich artist." Not so much anymore. Espcially since a few of the current employees make me uncomfortable.

The thing about applying for a job for me is that it has to be in walking/biking distance.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 02:06 PM

I'm going to be a sub this summer at a private pool. All actual employees are friends of my brother so they'll call me so I can get hours.

He's got a "life" apparently. He wasn't banned, left on his own accord, came back awhile back to post once, then left. Still hates me.

I'm glad he isn't here because I don't want to fight with him about stupid ****, the same reason I'm glad Eran left.

I don't work, now how punX is that?

Not as punx as working at "Redner's Warehouse Market."

I'm glad they left because they were dicks.

Hahaha, that place is such a dump. No offense to you though. :)

Glitterati 04-07-2006 05:36 PM

I'm so punx I might be working at a movie theater.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 05:40 PM

I am starved, and I think Brad's in hubub being high.

Glitterati 04-07-2006 05:48 PM
Are you gonna do it again?
Probably.

I've been sixteen since last November and even started to try to get my license because I'm hella lazy. Plus, I get super nervous on the road and am slightly worried I'll freak out in traffic and get road rage. But I'll eventually get it soon.

sketchyjoe 04-07-2006 06:19 PM

I'm 19 but I can't be bothered to learn to drive.

asdf 04-07-2006 06:26 PM
I'm so punx I might be working at a movie theater.
It's only punx if it's volunteering at the artsy local theaters. That's what I do occasionally.

I thought of another place to get an application. There's this local mower and bicycle repair place that I want to apprentice at. I would love to learn how to repair bikes (since I've been doing it without direction for years).

Shtein 04-07-2006 06:41 PM

I figure I'll make money next year by working at a trampoline school cleaning up, since my buddys mom is the manager.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 06:52 PM

I wish I knew how to fix bikes.

asdf 04-07-2006 06:58 PM

I love bikes. I've been garbage picking and fixing up bikes since middle school. I have an interest in it, and the people at the the bike repair show know me (well, more so my mom). I would be just fine with minimum wage because it would just be a lot of fun.

Flagjacket 04-07-2006 08:23 PM

The first time Eran left no one was this glad.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 08:25 PM

Kevin I am mad at you.

Flagjacket 04-07-2006 08:28 PM

The Red Wings are superior in every way to you.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 08:31 PM

Well they are the number one team in the NHL.

Prepare for insertion, A'SSHOLE.

SantaDuJuan 04-07-2006 08:36 PM

Speaking of Hockey.
Black people love Hockey vid games.

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 08:37 PM

I love everything aboot the game of hockey.

I miss MY hockey season. NHL is a joke compared to me playing.

Ghostfire3 04-07-2006 08:41 PM
The Red Wings are superior in every way to you.
Screw the Red Wings. Blackhawks all the way. Actually the Blackhawks are pretty much a disgrace to Chicago because of how much they suck. :upset:

DaveToopes 04-07-2006 08:42 PM

Even the Blue Jackets beat the Blackhawks a few days ago.

Brain Toad 04-07-2006 09:07 PM
I'm glad they left because they were dicks.
Well, that too.

Liebensaft 04-07-2006 09:14 PM

Evening, punx.

Glad to hear it, Jake.
