put 2000 credit on getting a new car earlier htis year, and the only loans i could have gotten would have take like two more weeks than i had to process =/

they do credit checks prior to student loans over there? also do you like... apply for loans the day you are starting school or what? over here you usually get it sorted several months in advance.

i expected to have a lot financial aid then i ended up getting, apparently even though ive paid bills for 3 years and am 21 and have a lease out i still dont qualify as an independent so i got screwed.

also UM is like 30k US a year. i dont even know if i COULD get enough loans out to cover it totally

WTF. that's some lolworthy **** right there. I just go to a web site and check the "want" button, then I get around kr90 000/$14 500 per year.

my dad owns a rather lucrative business, so most of the time theyre just like LOL HE CAN PAY but then my dad doesnt pay for any of my schooling =(

they do that here too. there's also cases where kids with parents that are loaded but divorced get the maximum scholarship. I'm not saying all of those kids gets any dough from their parents either, but still. flawed logic 4tw.

but as long as you have a different address than your parents, you are treated independently.
