Why do people wear kilts to weddings when they arent even Scottish? Crazy folk
Yeah, that gets to me. If it's part of your heritage cool, but it's a bit silly to do out of the blue.

Surtr 05-30-2007 10:25 AM
Kilts are made out of different materials and shi, and its not just a kilt you wear, you have to have the proper socks and stuff with it.
Aye man.

I know how it goes.

You've got you're kilt, you're hose (socks), sporran (purse thing), glen (hat) Ghillie Brouges (shoes) etc.

:)

Being a bagpiper provides you with all these useless clothes.

ChodaBoy 05-30-2007 10:30 AM

Still doesnt make any sense when these non-Scots wear them, the same goes for black people who wear clothing worn by people in Kenya just because their great-great-great grandfather wore them.

Heritage is fine, but sometimes its just silly.

Surtr 05-30-2007 10:38 AM

I'm not a Scott, I'm Canadian..

But I play Bagpipes..Good enough excuse?

Not to mention kilts are hXc.

ChodaBoy 05-30-2007 10:40 AM

Well the bagpipes and kilts go hand in hand I suppose. It'd look weird if you played them dressed like this http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40867000/jpg/_40867275_liverpoolfans203.jpg

My mums fiancée is wearing a kilt at there wedding, apparently just being born in Scotland makes you liable to wear one, even though he was brought up all his life in Bury, 10 minutes away from here.

And my half brothers, his sons, are wearing kilts too, and i told my mum shes cruel because there only 2 and shes putting them in skirts and its going to warp them for years to come.

Jev 05-30-2007 03:49 PM

Why are you not wearing a kilt?

Mexican Bandito 05-30-2007 04:01 PM

Patrick O))) 05-31-2007 11:23 AM

What happened to revising, young lady!

Been for a practice with this guy out of this band: n/m, I can't find their myspace. Filling in as rhythm guitar for the time being, went ok. Melodic death metal, called Morkret =o

Apart from that, arranging "Pfft! 'Download'", or Zestival a week on friday :) Our first headlining gig! =o Got at least 3 bands interested, which is plenty, but we've yet to get a '100% we can all do it' from all of them.

Payday too! £550, which is about £130 more than I was expecting! :D
