Yes. Our crest is a black (sometimes he is white, but should be black) man's head on a sword. The story goes is that a black Irishman (or maybe he was Moor) was robbing and kingdom and there was a reward of land for whoever brought him back. So my ancestor, MacLellan did just that, brought his head back on his sword. When the king tried to take back what he had said, MacLellan reminded him 'Think on'

It's a pretty cool story. The crest is going to be my first tat, much to chagrin of my mom, but I'm doing it after I move out.

My family history is boring as s'hit.

Something involved with family always seem like the best ideas for tats, because your family is usually the thing that lasts forever. Like tattoos of your kids, or family heritage etc.
