What's the second best psych album you've heard?
|
Please don't buy the JS30. Low end Jackson's are terrible :X
Out of those, go with the Artcore. If you saved up more, you should get a RG321 or 350. |

Indeed. If you don't want a floating bridge, get it and stick a PAF/X2N in it.
:) Mahogany=sex. |
In regards to the Beat of the Earth album....this is the third best psychedelic album I've ever heard. I didn't think I would hear any other psychedelic bands that could even be compared to the Syd era Floyd. This stuff is definitely awesome. The singer actually sounds kinda more like Jim Morrison.
I suppose it helps that I'm a little off baseline.
Ha I was talking to Lunch the other day when I was listening to the album for the first time and I said the singer sounds like Jim Morrison on acid. Jim was already on a lot of acid to begin with, but this guy sounds like Jim would if he took even more acid. I know that doesn't make any sense, but whatever. Wasn't Ray Manzarek in X? Anyone download the Killing Floor yet? |

I don't think he was a full on member but I do know he worked with them on the album I have. (Los Angeles.) NP: Mott the Hoople - Momma's Little Jewel, I never liked this song one bit the first 100 times I heard it but for some reason yesterday I liked it and had it stuck in my head, so now I'm listening to it a lot. Good song! |
I bought Genesis - Foxtrot today. And am listening to that awesome Taste of Blues song right now (the 17-minute one).
|
Ray Manzarek =/= punk
:) Thanks for the Killing Floor. |
The Doors were actually quite proto punk, if you were to play their songs without the jazzy drummy, it sounds almost like punk.

I LOVE Foxtrot, Supper's Ready>everything else |
I just started listening to it, the first song is good so far.
But yea, I'm looking forward to Supper's Ready. |
Doors are pretty good.
|
I just downloaded the Moloch album, the guitarist is very good.
My mom just came home and she brougth me a book called History of the Blues, I can't wait to read it. |
So...
I'm making a video for my biology project, which is an oral report with some form of visual aid on a state or national park. I did one called Carolina Beach State Park, which is right across the water from my dad's house in Wilmington. I shot a lot of raw film there, and my sister took pictures, so I'm just going to put some together in a five-minute video somewhat synchronized to my report I guess... I'm trying to think of a cool song to have low-volume in the video, suggestions? By the way, there's a part where a Venus flytrap closes on a pinestraw, that's my climax, so pick a song with a short cool part for that ;) |
I have to write about a genre for the paper and the album I think is most important. I think I'm just going to go with CR even though its not a genre, no one will notice. CR, Post-Punk, Pop or Alt Rock is my other considerations. A lot of my choices were took already. Oh, and if I do do CR the album will be Exile, surprise?
Not at all surprised. That would be flippin sweet if you did Exile. Livewired: If I were you, my eyes would already be diggin thru that book. I gotta check out books from my library for something like that soon. |
How goes ol' droogs? So has anyone downloaded that Arthur Lee album? Apparently no-one has judging by all the posts I've read.
I stole a lawn gnome off of someones front steps.
I plan on taking a big mushroom statue from a yard far, far away someday, but it's heavy as hell and it's too far away from my house to take on foot. This man lacks a car.... |
I hit my head on a big shroom statue once.
|
I wish I had a big Mushroom statue.
|
I wish I had some shrooms.
:shifty: |
I'm one of those guys that loves to do bad stuff, but then feels bad afterward (most of the time). I'd take it, then leave it on his doorstep and run like hell two days later :-/
np: Pink Floyd - The Gold It's In The... Obscured By Clouds is absolutely awesome. I'm glad someone sent it out, my CD store never has it. |
I wish I were a giant Mushroom.
|
I wish I could find a giant Mushshroom.
|
Wow, for once I'm not the one spamming up the CR thread :p
o shi Might as well say something about mushrooms... uhh... I like sauteed mushrooms with my beef tips at Western Sizzlin... yeah |
I wish I were a giant Mushroom.
I am a giant mushroom. |
I am a giant mushroom.
 |

I'm trying to find a way to say "smoke you" without totally sounding ghey. |
I can't get over the awesomeness of Obscured By Clouds... every song is good. I'm digging Free Four right now, I can't get over Waters singing "You are the Angel of Death" with this really upbeat, uplifting music in the background.
