Rise Me Up 09-03-2005 06:14 PM
I got him to leave.
Why?

Anxious 09-03-2005 06:35 PM

Im almost at 5,000 :)

Brain Toad 09-03-2005 07:56 PM

I return!

Today I went to the Pleasanton Highland Games. I saw 3 bands, Seven Nations, Tempest, and Wicked Tinkers. Seven Nations were meh. Tempest ruled, even though their set was really similar to the past 2 times I've seen them. And Wicked Tinkers were f'ucking amazing. Pipe, Drums, and didgeridoo all the way!

We also went shopping around the boothes and there was a severe lack of stuff from my clan, Maclellan, which sucked. My mom did find a magnet though.

Tomorrow is my 18th birthday, wooooooo.

There was so many kilts! It was kind of gross. Mainly becaused one of the Wicked Tinkers spins around and doesn't wear anything under his. But the Tempest bass player was wearing hers, boy was she hawt.

If I were scottish I'd wear a kilt, sept they cost ALOT. But yeah, I love tradition. Speaking of which, my uncle came in from Ireland and instructed me on Gaelic Football.... This is the coolest game in the history of games, it's so complicated but the roughest/most fun you can have outside.

Brain Toad 09-03-2005 08:14 PM

Kilts are expensive, even the utilikilts which are made from standard fabric not wool, but they are quite cool. I don't know if I'd wear one, because I don't even wear shorts. But my dad would, and my mom is trying to get him to, but they are just too expensive.

I just want fabric of my clans tartan for my vest, but I don't think that'll happen.
speak any gaelic?
No, I want to learn, but since it is completely different then English, it will be insanely hard.

I speak some Irish, which is alot like Scottish (both encompass gaelic). Me granda taught me some. The main throw off is that the spelling is nothing like the pronunciation. But once you get the basics down it rolls in like most languages.

Forest_Fire 09-03-2005 08:37 PM

Latin is a stupid language.

But I take it anyway, so I can sleep through it.

Let's Chop Cats! 09-03-2005 08:39 PM

I'm in Latin V.

Forest_Fire 09-03-2005 08:40 PM

I'm in Latin II.

The sad thing is, I looked at your post and my first thought was "He's in latin 10?"

Let's Chop Cats! 09-03-2005 08:41 PM

You probably know more Latin than I do.

RetiredAt21 09-03-2005 08:43 PM

They used to offer a Latin class at my school, then the Latin teacher died or something.

Gaelic comes in 3 varities, scottish, irish, and isle of man. I read Wikipedia a lot. I noticed the spelling thing when I was reading a page on it.

I can use scottish 'slang' Such as tae, nae, etc.

I may take Latin in college for my language requirement, or continue my french. I want to take Persian as a joke as well.
