5 Minutes. I learned to play that song two days ago.
Silverjew's reviews have convinced me that they are bad. I didn't like them before either though.
Yeah, he gave me actual reason beyond "I just don't think they sound good" :)

I know none of you will care, but Murphy made it through to the final of the Embassy world championship. Hurrah. He did it in quite some style, too.

And yes, the daleks (or a dalek, at least) return tonight. Can't wait.

GurS 04-30-2005 10:42 AM

so exciting! :o

also, sorry bout cutting you off last night 'tender. my comp decided to dump it's physical memory
You saw Chambers? He's a pretty good drummer, not as good as Garibaldi though. Santana must have ruled live.
Yes indeed. Awesome show...and lets say my parents have seen him over 20 times, and they like good seats...:D Very talented musicians in that band, and every one of them got a solo. Hell...his guitar tech got to play a solo and he was 100x better than me. All he does is tune and such :upset:

What kind of championship is this?

Bartender 04-30-2005 11:21 AM

Schnookah.

(Snooker)

superpeer 04-30-2005 11:28 AM

Oh, cool, I like watching snooker sometimes.

My favourite guy is that Welsh guy, I forget his name. He's cool.

Morning guys.

I got over 10 hours of sleep, which I really needed. I just went back and read what I missed, and I was glad to see some good conversation was taking place in here.

Just mad that I missed it.

Matthew Stevens?

I don't know that any of the players I know, other than him, are Welsh :-/

Sleep is more important. I was exhausted and hungry last night, so I went to bed at 2:30 and slept until 12: 10 solid hours. I'm raring to go for a roaring brunch of waffles, fried eggs, and hashbrown patties. :)

I played a gig in the Teehaus last night, on campus. It was awesome: my setlist was pretty short, but when me and the four other people that were playing came together to jam, we played some ****in' awesome songs. "Rockin' in the Free World," "Message in a Bottle" "Don't Fear (the Reaper)" "Baba O'Riley" (the song known as "Teenage Wasteland" to all you recent Who initiates) and a very irreverent, racous version of "Stairway to Heaven," in which I got on electric and blasted an awesome solo. :D It was fun as hell.

EDIT: My level of posting in here has become so sporadic.

Six Foot Revolver 04-30-2005 11:45 AM

so I randomly searched MXican and I found this post which cheered me up :)

Cool set list.

Did you use a cowbell for Don't Fear the Reaper? If not, I will be dissapointed.

And now you've made me hungry.

Permanent Solution 04-30-2005 11:59 AM

So I slept for an hour...yet I'm not too tired yet...funny.

Cain: Sounds like a blast, I can't wait to get back in bands when I'm home for the summer.

lol, we actually had to stop playing it because my friend Carlo kept bashing a tambourine (in true Will Farrell fashion) right next to my other friend Jesse's ear and he couldn't play the song. It would have been cool though. :)

Good luck with the bands, Vince. I've been desiring one for quite some time.

Mine too, its geting stupid. The new Doctor Who episode was actually very enjoyable. 'Exterminate! Exterminate!' I think it was definatly better than the shockingly bad other ones.

In other news, im re-joining my old band, but this time on guitar. Awesome stuff.

Go Bulls!

Now that the Celtics don't have a chance of winning their series, I'm rooting for the Bulls, Rockets, and Sonics--the three teams I like watching the most.

As for sleep, yes, sleep is very good. I slept for eight solid hours today: 3:15 to about 20 past 11. Nothing makes a man think clearer than long sleep.

Yeah, I loved it. You didn't like the other new episodes so far?

Brew 04-30-2005 03:03 PM

The Doctor Who Confidential program on BBC3 afterwards was pretty interesting.

Bartender 04-30-2005 03:04 PM

I watched that for the first three episodes, but since then I've been away from home, where I don't have access to BBC3. What was it about this time?
