I havnt listend to paradise lost yet, always meant to but never got round to it

Brew 12-10-2005 05:21 PM

I found the setlist from the recent Tony Martin gigs:

The Lawmaker
I Witness
The Eternal Idol
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle
Valhalla
Children of the Sea
When Death Calls
Dying For Love
Scream
The Shining
Headless Cross
Paranoid
War Pigs

Its a pretty good mix.

shadow_stalker 12-10-2005 05:42 PM

That would have been awesome to see

rippa32 12-10-2005 09:14 PM

It would. Apparently he had Geof Nicholls play for him as well, which is a bit sad considering Iommi basically dumped him.

Brew 12-11-2005 04:43 AM

The main reason why he played so many Sabbath songs and got away with it is because Geoff Nicholls had a hand in writing most of them.

rippa32 12-11-2005 05:30 AM

So why didn't he get credited?

EDIT: Brew? when did your name change?

rippa32 12-16-2005 12:24 AM

Can't let this thread die. So is anybody getting Sabbath related stuff for christmas? Im getting a shirt and the Never Say Die! DVD. Its got a great setlist by the looks of it.

Brew 12-16-2005 10:30 AM

Good setlist, pretty average sound quality and again, pretty average video recording.

I don't think I'm getting any Sabbath related stuff for Christmas, but after Christmas I might look into getting Cross Purposes, Cross Purposes Live (either video or dvd), 7th Star and Forbidden.

Edit: Vote Dio in the Vocalists Poll!

Done. Ronnie needs us everyone...

he's dying out there

shadow_stalker 12-16-2005 12:45 PM

I voted Dio and i swear to god im gonna scream if Robert Plant wins this thing

Kronos 12-16-2005 01:34 PM

Christ! I've had a look now and Plant has shot up!

This morning he was dying a death - suddenly he's second.

I notice that most of those who have voted for him I've never heard of on here. It's like Who TF RU?

I reckon those old Zep fanboys have posted in the other forums and got their non-metal mates over from Alt/Indie and Jazz...

Not fair>

^Y'know how I mentioned Kronos being linked to Star Trek?

It is infact the name of the Klingon homeworld.
I voted Dio and i swear to god im gonna scream if Robert Plant wins this thing
Hah, he probably will.. And Dio's doing alright in the polls.

rippa32 12-17-2005 04:20 AM

Yes but not good enough. How many people go through on round2?
And to brum, I really don't care if the quality is crappy its the only live DVD that shows stuff from the 70's.

Well that's another very original bit of thievery from Star Trek, raiding Greek Mythology for alien planet names.

Tsk tsk.

Oh yeah, and they pinched Romulus as well....

Brew 12-17-2005 11:05 AM

There's also Remus in it somewhere...

Kronos 12-17-2005 11:38 AM

Pah! Gene Roddenberry - raper of ancient cultures

Hey, I don't even think Plant should win.

rippa32 12-17-2005 06:56 PM

No he shouldn't he only gets votes because people like Led Zeppelin. James Hetfield will also do well just for being in Metallica.

blue3 12-17-2005 08:29 PM

One vote for Hetfield right now.. I still don't know who the vote for.

rippa32 12-18-2005 03:56 AM

I voted for Ian Gillan. Hey lol its spelt Gillian again.

blue3 12-18-2005 06:23 AM

Yeah.. My Machine Head album says Gillian too.

SRVS Greatest Fan 12-18-2005 10:34 AM

Hey Everyone

Sabbath Rules Man!!!

my favorite Black Sabbath songs are War Pigs, Paraniod, The Wizard...

But ugh.. it think sabbath did way better with ozzy.

But i think ozzy did better with randy rhoads

but i think someone killed randy

funny how the bus driver lost(stole) his bag of coke sometime before he crashed the plan into a house, funny how the world works

Brew 12-18-2005 02:26 PM

I voted for Gillan in the poll thingy.

Kronos 12-18-2005 02:41 PM

These polls are hilarious - who do you guys think is going to win?

No-one I've voted for has done well - I'm the kiss of death to them, obviously.

I'm gonna vote Plant next round, that'll sort him out

rippa32 12-19-2005 02:58 AM
Yeah.. My Machine Head album says Gillian too.
Really? Mine doesn't. Do you have an original vinyl pressing or something?
