Someone count riffs for Death Angel - The Ultra Violence :p
 |
I got Overkill - Horrorscope yesterday :thumb:
Which live album of Overkill's is the best? |
Well, I'm back from my vacation in Boston. Thanksgiving was alright, no snow though.
The local record stores and FYE in the mall had a fvcking killer metal selection, and I had about 400 bucks to spend, so here's what I got: Overkill - Wrecking Everything: Live Overkill - Taking Over Testament - The New Order (vinyl) Testament - The Legacy (vinyl) Cyclone - Brutal Destruction Sodom - One Night In Bangkok Darkthrone - Panzerfaust Darkthrone - Soulside Journey Anthrax - Persistence of Time (vinyl) |
O_O Vinyl!!!
**** man, you got some rare collector items right there. I have the remastered CDs for The New Order and The Legacy. The Sodom CD kicks *** too :D |
^Oh yeah, I went ape **** when I found them.
I'm going to change my favorite album from Endless Pain to The Legacy now. I just fell in love with it. And for all of you who haven't heard the "First Strike Still Deadly" version of Reign of Terror, d/l that sonofabitch right now. It is about 100 times heavier than the original, has Zetro back on vocals, and is guaranteed to kick your ***. The song will jump out of your speakers, grab you by your balls, throw you against the wall, and command you to headbang... and you will have no choice but to listen. |

Whats One Night in Bangkok like? Do they play mainly old stuff or new stuff? |
They play both, but Nuclear Winter is absent, which is disappointing because it's my favorite Sodom track.
I was just on Dark Angel's official forum, and I don't know if this has been discussed, but the band plans on releasing a DVD of live concert footage \m/ They've also been recording a new album "Darkness Returns", which we've talked about before I think. |
shame about Nuclear Winter, thats a great song.
Any idea when the new Dark Angel album is out? |

A toast to a thrash comeback! Cheers! :chug:

*listens to The Legacy*
\m/ >_< \m/ |
There really does seem to be a lot of thrash on it's way, I'm so happy. I was ecstatic when I heard those samples of Enemy of God, now there's the news of a Dark Angel revival plus a few other things happening in the New Year.
Anyway, in anticipation of Enemy of God I've been trying to build up my German thrash collection since I only had/have the 1st three kreator albums, so I bought extreme aggresion and persecution mania, can't wait til they arrive. I was also looking to buy some Destruction, I've heard some songs off 'The Antichrist' and I thought they were awesome, especially thrash till death which I'm now downloading :D. Anyway, some suggestions on what Destruction albums to purchase... please. |
get the first 4 LP/EP 's. I don't know too much about the newer stuff though. Prepare to be blown away by Persecution Mania though :D
|
I can't find Persectution Mania anywhere at my record stores...
Curse this new metalcore wave...grr...I WANT MORE SODOM!!!! LOL My dad was thinking about considering an iPod for me and my sister because he says that it would spare us the trouble of carrying around a lot CDs (since I have to carry around a lot of CDs in my case x_x). An iPod would let me expand my musical database by #s!!!!!!!11111 lol...sorry for the retartedness in the post. |
^^^I feel ya. I ****ing need a mp3 player. Esp since the gym which I've been going to for over a year now never change their ****ing CD's. The only way to make ****ty music worse is by repeating it over and over and over and over and over and..
|
They do that at Six Flags Magic Mountain. On "The Riddler's Revenge", I've been on it so many times and waiting in line is just a living hell...
The music for it is the same exact song looped over and over and OVER! Everytime I wait in line, I think its a cool song, but after waiting for 15 min. and barely moving while techno music loops is just pure annoyance! lol... /totally off topic but ok XD |

Not a bad idea...the best bay to go too XD |
That's how I am, I just get the actual album for collection purposes, and I listen to it on mp3.
|

Darkthrone - Soulside Journey is the best one there
|
Dargon: For Cyclone, think Coroner, only less technical and a bit more speed metallish.
|
Hm.
I just checked out Demolition Hammer - it sounds awesome. Epidemic of Violence is on the top of my list now :) And also what is the best Carnal Forge album, or are they not even worth downloading? |
^Also check out Tortured Existence by Demolition Hammer.
