I just associate Jade Tree with Jets To Brazil and Avail, not hardcore. Now that I think, they have had quite a number of hardcore bands.

I've been having a lot of fun today researching this old bar that used to be the home of the punk scene in my city. It makes me a bit sad that I'm too young to have gone there (although my parents had gone there for a few shows). It's funny to read things like "even though in the year before it closed it had no toilets, only holes in the ground."
