I can't tell, myself.

If it's a girl, she's destined to be a dyke.

ATM 04-05-2005 07:45 PM

I agree

Bartender 04-05-2005 07:47 PM

Does anyone know if Sin City is out here (England, I mean) yet?

ATM 04-05-2005 07:48 PM

I doubt it.

Jom 04-05-2005 07:51 PM

Doesn't Europe get movies released a couple months later than the Americas?

/isn't sure

Grammar question: if I want to talk about a specific event in a book, is it wrong to use the word "scene" to describe it? It seems like "scene" should be left to the movies, but I just want to double-check.

Kurtz 04-05-2005 07:52 PM

Nope.

Yea I always hated that. My friends would be going on about these movies and I would have no clue what they were talking about.

Illmatic 04-05-2005 07:54 PM

Tally ho, old chap. How about a pint, guv'nor?

/bad characterization. I apologize

I don't see what's wrong with it.

Scene would work, but you could just say "In Chapter: X, blah blah blah"

Months, maybe not. There's definitely a delay, though. It depends which films, too.

This is when I wish I'd paid more attention to the trailer I saw :(

Jom 04-05-2005 07:57 PM

I'm looking online, sites like http://www.imdb.com/ aren't turning up any findings, though... but that's because I'm distracted and not exactly looking hard... good luck, though.

I'd use it.

Or use event/incident/whatever if you feel cautious on using it.
^ Exactly. To DN.

Would one like some tea and crumpets?

Haha, everytime I hear England I think of crumpets or muffins.
Bloody 'ell, me favorite footbull club lost the big match! Let's start a riot!

Jom 04-05-2005 08:03 PM

Yeah, I just played it safe and went with event.

I just need to write one more sentence, and I'm having a hard time coming up with one right now. It'll come to me in thirty seconds, I'm sure.

I am also going to celebrate by writing a review for Sputnik

She's a celeb, though, so us poor schlubs don't stand a chance with her.

Of course, because she's a celeb, I can get away with saying things like, "Jessica Alba is an 11" around my gf.
