Any good gig? Did they play most of the new gay stuff? Or did they do what they did last tour and play mostly previous album stuff..?

Jev 05-20-2007 02:39 PM

Brilliant gig, about 5/6 songs of the new album, I only knew Into Oblivion though.
Pretty disappointed they didn't play Bend Your Arms though.
I was right at the front the whole night and had loads of nobheads trying to push in front of me and I spent a lot of time stopping my mate from getting crushed (she's like 5'2).
Was really weird to see Matt playing a guitar too. Weird choice of one too, he was playing a Rickenbacker.

Mexican Bandito 05-20-2007 03:31 PM

oh man oh man oh ma

LMAO

Why are you looking at it :-/

Pastorius 05-20-2007 03:52 PM

I'm telling you, Physics is the weirdest subject in the world.

I'd be willing to bet that a number of people think the atom is the smallest thing in the Universe. Probably the majority of reasonably educated people think it's electrons, neutrons and protons. How very wrong they are.

It blows my mind the things we know about the way things are. Quarks are a man's worst friend.

It's ****ed up somehting rotten...

I mean how the hell can quarks "exist" if we can't isolate them? It's really odd.

Jev 05-20-2007 03:56 PM

I wish I'd taken Physics over Bio, Biology's such a drag.
Physics would've been a total mindfuck and I would struggle really bad with the maths but at least I'd find it interesting.

Untitled 05-20-2007 03:57 PM

I try not try to think about how small things are, or on the other extream how big thing are, like the whole universe, because it just confuses me and makes my head hurt.

Im too simply to think bout those things.

Pastorius 05-20-2007 03:59 PM

It's because quarks don't exist in anything less than pairs. One of the smallest combos (called a pion) degenerates into 2 photons, but that's it.

The thing that blows my mind is, every quark has a colour, it's just that every combination that exists happens such that the colours add up to white (aka no colour). This isn't something we've observed, it's because of something called the Pauli Exclusion Principle. It's just a solution to the problem the PEP brings up.

Iiiiiiinsane stuff.

Errr....I dunno if I'm just "smart" or what..But I knew about quarks and I didn't even take Physics..?

Did you know they exist or did you know how they interact?

I know quite a few people who know quarks exist, but it's trivia really.

ChodaBoy 05-20-2007 04:15 PM

This thread has become far too educated for me to get involved.

Pastorius 05-20-2007 04:23 PM

Oh man, I hate leaving people out.

Let's dumb it down a bit...

Today I watched the World Bull Riding Championship on Extreme Sports Channel. Those guys are insane! One of them got his hand caught in the thing they tie round the bull, so he's hanging on with no choice, and the bull had to kick him in the chest to get his hand free...

I was able to follow your conversation basically.

I guess I've just got a lot of friends who go on about physics a fair bit. I've never actually noticed it before, but a fair few of my friends are Science nerds lmao.

Jev 05-20-2007 04:26 PM

man i saw something like that except they had to cut his hands off.
I wonder how he went to the toilet.

Pastorius 05-20-2007 04:31 PM

You need to get some new friends man, this stuff is interesting but I've never talk to someone about it!
