No one cares. Who the hell are you anyway? Get the fuck out of my part of MX.
You know me. Remember? The This Bike is a Pipe Bomb scare thread? And there were a few others.

EDIT: Without the Dead, there would be no Ted Leo to rip them off.

So at least be thankful for that.

obese_breasts 03-22-2006 06:25 PM

I'm sending you the song Joe.

Flagjacket 03-22-2006 06:26 PM

Right, cause Shake The Sheets is just a Grateful Dead live recording backwards.

Danger Bird 03-22-2006 06:29 PM

Not that they rip them off constantly, I was posting a little tidbit I noticed.

Flagjacket 03-22-2006 06:34 PM

I notcied that Violence resembles The Girl Next Door. Someone call Ben Weasel, and give him Tom Gabel's address!

sketchyjoe 03-22-2006 06:46 PM

And, as I've mentioned in the AM! thread, the start of Don't Lose Touch sounds like You Can Get It If You Really Want. Whenever I hear the bit where he sings "allllll" at about 0:28 I always think the next line is going to be "And you succeed at last." Listen to it and you'll see.
I'm sending you the song Joe.
Cheers. I just wanted to hear it. It's alright, but not a patch on the OCMS version, which is one of my favourite songs ever.

Rage4ever 03-22-2006 06:49 PM

Anyone know how to do any of tom morello's RATM solo's that are using the toggle switch like how to rewire or find a site that tells how to re wire it????

sketchyjoe 03-22-2006 06:53 PM

Wrong forum like whoa.

sketchyjoe 03-22-2006 06:55 PM

óóáóááóíúééééáӒ

Rise Me Up 03-22-2006 06:55 PM

No. There is a guitar forum.

Ghostfire3 03-22-2006 09:49 PM
Ugh, I agree. My friend's getting into rockabilly, and I'm trying to get her into good stuff like RRH and The Cramps, but she insists on listening to the Horrorpops......ew.
If she doesn't already listen to the Stray Cats, suggest them to her. Best. Rockabilly. Band. EVER.

Brain Toad 03-22-2006 10:07 PM

Stray Cats are amazing. Lee Rocker (their bassist) is going to be playing a car show around here, but he is only playing at the nightime part of the show which is in a bar, so 21+

obese_breasts 03-22-2006 10:16 PM

Brian Setzer has 6 fingers on his left hand, scientific FACT!

Glitterati 03-22-2006 11:12 PM

Brian Setzer is awesome. I was just listening to the Stray Cats version of Summertime Blues.

POINTLESS5448 03-23-2006 10:19 AM

that unofficial afi thread was quite possibly the saddest thing ive ever seen on here.

Biscuit_box 03-23-2006 10:41 AM

Anything with AFI is sad
Nick, I have barely been on lately so can you tell me who is responsible for making this place shlt?

RetiredAt21 03-23-2006 12:53 PM

Agreed.

sketchyjoe 03-23-2006 02:49 PM

I'm bored so I've decided to work my way through a webcomic's archives. I've narrowed it down to 3: Housd, Sam and Fuzzy and Achewood. Which one sounds best to you guys?

(I'm particularly aiming this question at Nick.)

It's not that bad. People just get overly whiny and bitchy because the forum isn't as great as it was when they were new. Of course it's not, it will never be that good, because then it was great because you were experiencing it all for the first time and you had a lot of new experiences. Saying it sucks or its ****ty just makes it even worse.

Housd, because 1000+ strips will definitely end boredom
Brian Setzer is awesome. I was just listening to the Stray Cats version of Summertime Blues.
Brian Setzer is sweet. The other day I was watching La Bamba, which is a movie about Ritchie Valens, and Brian Setzer played Jerry Lee Lewis in it. It was awesome. Also, he happened to be playing Summertime Blues in the movie.

Brain Toad 03-23-2006 10:03 PM

So who wants to read my essay on Same Sex Marriage for my Sociology of Marriage and Family class?

The topic was basically that you are the President and you must state your opinion on same sex marriage with sociological backing etc, then make a policy about it.

Download, read, and tell me what you think.

Weezerfan_returns 03-23-2006 11:44 PM

ahhhh just back from a nice ban! I guess they don't like it when you make a thread in the Pop/Pop Rock forum called "husker du!".

These forums used to be really cool, they've really gone downhill though. No one posts on here anymore Does anyone know of any other good punk forums?

DaveToopes 03-23-2006 11:58 PM

lol?

obese_breasts 03-24-2006 12:01 AM

Who else would rather this forum not be associated with Panic at the Disco and Boxcar Racer?

As far as I know you weren't banned for posting the Husker Du thread in Pop (Why you did is beyond me? How the **** did you make the Husker Du and Pop connection?) It was for spam somewhere else.

And feel free to leave if you think the forum is ****, I'd be happy to perm ban you to make sure you don't come back.
Who else would rather this forum not be associated with Panic at the Disco and Boxcar Racer?
Boxcar myself, P!ATD is somewhat entertaining.

It's kind of gay that since punk includes pop-punk etc in the sputnik genres we get stuck with their reviews since there is so few punk reviews.

TakeWarning 03-24-2006 05:23 AM

Yeah, Boxcar Racer suck, very few traces of punk in them too.

POINTLESS5448 03-24-2006 06:10 AM

how come we dont get just the punk reviews and not both. all the other forums have their own genre reviews. nick, can you change it because youre a mod or can mods not do that kind of stuff.

DaveToopes 03-24-2006 09:50 AM

He's not a sputnik mod.

holy_roller99 03-24-2006 10:04 AM

ok hurry what is the name of the lead singer of teh Real Mckenzies because oi could win tickets to the show.

DaveToopes 03-24-2006 10:11 AM

Paul McKenzie

holy_roller99 03-24-2006 10:18 AM

Thanks. i really wanted to go to the no minors show. that is going to be wicked. i do NOT want to miss it but my mom is being a cow because ot the weather.

DaveToopes 03-24-2006 10:20 AM

No problem. That would be a fun show.

holy_roller99 03-24-2006 10:35 AM

damn right. i wish the weather didn't call for freezing rain and snow. that would better my chances of going.

Brain Toad 03-24-2006 10:43 AM

I don't think there is a way, because if you look at the punk page on Sputnik, it has all those. Having classic punk linked there may work, but I don't know.

And only MX can change it, since it's a coding matter.

POINTLESS5448 03-24-2006 11:03 AM

oh well.

AndreTheHyena 03-24-2006 01:05 PM
