they changed to the AI format as soon as it became popular, plus, back in the day, they weren't as dull, dookie and insomniac still get a lot of plays, but after that, i don't bother, because they got bland and formulaic, tried to appeal to the masses, and did, actually sell out,

if they went back to dookie style, they'd be good again

Edit: depends how you call it, AI was described by a lot of people as being great, not on here, but by a lot of people i know personally. Dookie is, in terms of sales, more popular, but if memeory serves, Dookie wouldn't have had much of a problem with Illegal Downloads cutting actual "Sales", AI, on the other hand, has undeniably had that as a factor. so much so that i think if you wanted an accurate figure on people who had AI, you'd have to bump up the numbers a fair bit.
