I'll remedy that.
I'm getting Variations On A Theme right now. |
Get Conference of The Birds instead. It's their best.
Or you could start with Variations and see how they change over each album. |
I haven't heard Om yet either. I was waiting to see if I could find any of their albums cheap, used style, but I havent. Guess it's time to download.

I usually download and then buy the album if I like it enough. Does anybody have a link for some of this White Heaven band? I've never heard of them. |

I'd get Conference of the Birds. Everything about the album is great, except for the lultastic lyrics. |
I got it. Second song seemed kind of not good at all. First song was great though.
|
Yeah, At Giza is the only OM song that knocked me off my feet. Flight of the Eagle doesn't compare.
|
I liked the song but I would've rather not had to listen to that dude talk-sing for the first chunk of it.
|

I kinda agree with you, At Giza is their best song. I did not like the new album and Variations is OM still trying to find their sound. NP: Boris - Message |

Where you from dude?!
Forest of Dean. Gloucestershire. You in Swansea right? That's an hour and a half from here. I'm going to be in Swansea on Friday 14th to see Honey for Christ - you should come along, it'll be an ace gig. HFC will knock your face off in the live setting. Next gig after that for me is Pagan Altar and The River in Bedford (2 and a half hours drive - I must be mad) to give the band grief for choosing the wrong drummer. |

   |
There are to many doom bands in the UK, poor Jondur has to go to so many concerts. I almost feel sorry for him. :upset:
NP: Candlemass - Black Candles |
I'm in the same boat in Maryland :D
I hope I can make it to Weedeater on Friday. |
I am going to see them when they play in Birmingham on the 16th

THERE'S NO ****ING DOOM SCENE AT ALL IN NYC!
I'd like Variations On A Theme 100% more if the vocals were a ton lower in the mix. They're obnoxiously in your face. |
VoaT really doesn't have that many vocals.
What 6 Organs of Admittance album should I start with? |
Are you fucking kididng me? NYC has a great doom scene, man.
|
Downstate Illinois has a great doom scene courtesy of me.
|
What 6 Organs of Admittance album should I start with?
school of the flower or dark noontide
dunno why you're asking in here unless the om discussion or something |
school of the flower or dark noontide
dunno why you're asking in here unless the om discussion or something
Its because of OM. Thanks for the recommendations. |
Are you fucking kididng me? NYC has a great doom scene, man.
Fine, then Rockland County has no goddamn doom scene. It's not like I can go into the city whenever I please. Which sucks nuts... |
Yeah, At Giza is the only OM song that knocked me off my feet. Flight of the Eagle doesn't compare.
I like both songs quite a bit.
Downstate Illinois has a great doom scene courtesy of me.
I'm going to need to get a hold of some WoR then. |
Are you fucking kididng me? NYC has a great doom scene, man.
He may have meant actual doom metal, u no. |
At least one album is up on last.fm @Rattle
|
I plan on listening more but I just checked out the song Deflagration. The riffs are great, and I love the guitar tone. When you guys find a good vocalist then you'll be completely ace.

Got this message from Trouble's MySpace and thought it was spam at first:
How ya doin’? Just wanted to say, “hey,” and to apologize for not keeping up with all of you on Trouble’s and my own Space. As a matter of fact, I had to blow mine up and start over. I hope that we can all still be friends. Please, be patient with me. I’m not very good with computers. I mean we get along, but I would never go out for a beer with one and besides, it doesn’t help matters none that I don’t have a computer right now. Recently, I visited both sites at a friend’s and I found that a lot of you were asking me how I was doin’. I really appreciated it and I started to wonder if there was a reason for your concern or was it just your way of saying, “hi.” The truth is, I’ve been feelin’ like **** for a very long time. My mind, body, and soul felt like they were all goin’ in different directions. Then one day, I met someone who said they could help me become one again, and for the first time in my life, something is working. I thought that I would turn you on to it if you need so for your very own customized, natural treatment for your mind and body, (you’ll need God for the soul part), go to www.marketamerica.com/senseijen, and take the Nutri-Physical. I’m not all the way there yet. My body has some catching up to do, but it’s getting better every day. I know that everything is goin’ to be okay. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all started to feel good about ourselves and each other? Peace & Love, Trouble Eric P.S. Dream, Hope, Imagine, Create, Inspire, Believe, & Become. |
thats spam.

Goofy hippie
|
Definately spam.
|
Yeah. You can always tell it's spam if they're incredibly general, promoting something, and not addressing the peson who they're sending to.
