I love DT's sound clips live.
i think i'd possibly kill to see them live. i have to see them next time they tour the UK.

Jev 04-13-2006 11:19 AM

/Caught them last time.

It was a contender for the best gig I've ever been to. Even if they don't move much they're still brilliant live.

Josh 04-13-2006 11:22 AM

*3900th Post*

i like bands i see to do a lot of crowd interaction, but i guess with DT it doesn't matter so much, as they're so goddamn awesome.

Actually, they aren't really statues on stage. I mean, don't go expecting Maiden or The Who, but LaBrie did a pretty good job keeping us involved when I saw them. Plus they have some pretty cool animations and whatnot for some of the songs.

Jev 04-13-2006 11:44 AM

That bit in Pull me Under where Myung and Petrucci fret each others guitars is cool.

To bad "fretting each others guitars" sounds gay.

ever eeking always rupert 04-13-2006 01:04 PM

What, you've never fretted another guy's guitar? It's hawt :p

Anyhoo', I was sitting there, then it dawned on me - Octavarium is a masterpiece. I was reading some analysis of it, and wow.

WOW

octavarium is truly one of their finest songs ever. period. depending on the day, i prefer it over ACOS; it kinda fluctuates b/w the two epics haha.

myung and petrucci fretted each other in 8vm when they played in phoenix i think. either that or LTL. im ashamed for not knowing clearly :upset:

My Radio City shirt came in the mail. :) I was so pissed off when I couldn't get one at the concert so it was a relief that they started selling them online.

PrisonerInGlass 04-13-2006 09:12 PM

I saw these guys at Gigantour in the Coliseum Expo here. It was quite possibly the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I lost my goddamn shirt though.

The Glass Prison was the first song I ever got into by Dream Theater and I still love it to this day. I have all of their official merch. SFAM is basically the best album ever released. -fanboy- Anyway..
