yeah. I mean Public Enemy as an obvious one, yeah also BDP and/or KRS -1 , Black Sheep, Common Sense (known just as Common now i think), Funk Doobiest, Lords Of The Underground, Pete Rock and C.L Smooth, 3rd Bass and of course Organized Konfusion

i have a couple tracks of Big Daddy Kane, but Bun B acknowledges him as one of his top 5 dead or alive so that's enough impetus to check out his entire discography.

@nevertoolate: i have PE's first three albums, but they don't really do anything for me any more. i've listened pretty extensively to BDP, early Common, and 3rd Bass, but i don't really enjoy them either. i'll look into Funk Doobiest and Lords of the Underground.

yeah Big Daddy Kane is good, i still enjoy PE and #rd Bass have always been awesome to me. Also check out Brand Nubian, Jungle Brothers and Lord Finesse and maybe some Das EFX. I've still got so much of all this kinda **** on tape and quite a bit on itunes, just in case i need a fix
