it says the song hasnt been cleared yet...

Vai's_Jem 07-17-2004 01:11 AM

you can hear it, if you click lo-fi.

Captain Jack Sparrow 07-17-2004 01:17 AM

Your timing is off in a few places, the chorus is very messy, and your tempo tends to change just slightly from time to time. Also the slow interlude is very sloppy up until it cuts out, but with more practice and polishing I think it'll sound great. Nice work. :thumb:

Vai's_Jem 07-17-2004 01:26 AM

thx for that. i got unplugged at the end. i always laugh when i hear it. hahaha

Iplaythegeeeeetar! 07-17-2004 01:29 AM

its a pretty good cover.

No prob. I'm always up for judging people's stuff, I find it enjoyable. And that gave me a laugh too when your cable unplugged, then it cut out and I hear you yell what sounded like "FUCK" and then it's over lol.

Kreator 07-17-2004 03:26 AM

bump :p

superpeer don't ban me

Riffmeister9 07-17-2004 05:55 PM

bump, lets keep this thread alive

burtonbassist_102 07-17-2004 08:20 PM

since metallica is going to start recording a new album soon, i think that it would be awesome if they did another instrumental song. who agrees/disagrees with me?

Orion7 07-17-2004 11:48 PM

Definitely agree. In my opinion, Metallica's instrumentals were some of their best tracks. Kirk also needs to bring back the solos!!! :thumb:

clown_phobia 07-17-2004 11:57 PM

i can't believe kirk doesn't play solos any more. SELLOUTS!!!!

(sorry)

metallica rule.

metalmania13 07-17-2004 11:58 PM

they arent too good in my opinion...

Dooflungerfletchface 07-18-2004 01:26 AM

i cant believe i have read through eight pages of this ****

there are about 5 or 6 posts from people that have actually listened to Metallica

why dont you people stop talking about music that you obviously know jack **** about, and start listening to some!!!

practically every metallica song pre "Load" is either good/or going to teach you something about good metal (atleast at an introductory level).

ps. playing **** from load, reload, st anger is ****ing piss easy to come up with. As a songwriter myself, i have come to the conclusion that Metallica has either become lazy, or has better things to do with it's time than to concentrate on music for large amounts of it's time. Please guys - who cares about having a family, playing good metal is what life is all about

stop posting rubbish here as well, and dont download metallica songs or lars and james will sure your asses, buy their cd's pussies
...  I think RideTheSpiral was right when he said "go to hell!!"
Why would post that??

TallicaChic 07-18-2004 02:36 AM

jjez, if that's all you have to say then leave. that was pretty dumb

chewbacca_guitar 07-18-2004 03:17 AM

this thread annoys me. it's always there, and i know there is nothing that people are actually gunna care about that i could say...why won't it just lay down and die?? 224 fricken pages....by the way metallica are awesome, but this is going too far.

TallicaChic 07-18-2004 03:34 AM

no..it must live!! sure it's get's old after a while but c'mon..it's MetallicA it must stay and remain to get replies...and if people stop replying I'll keep it alive myself

thaJimmyRay 07-18-2004 03:36 AM

have any of u guys heard or downloaded(KaZaA) any of the "demos" from their "new album?" demos is in quotes because its really easy to fake demos.... especially with no voices on the track. anyway i was wondering if u guys think any of them are for real or not

Squirrel 07-18-2004 04:15 AM

They're quite blatantly not real.
I was trying to learnt the ride the lightining solo the other day. It is imo the hardest metallica solo out there
u ever tried playing the solo in damage inc.? thats insane!

IamtheDrummer 07-18-2004 11:06 AM

Metallica is definitely an icon

Metallica is just awesome. I've gotten into them quite heavily over the last 7 years, and they are by far my favorite band. Love them or hate them, you gotta respect them, and not the way that MTV did last year (that was a disgrace). Favorite Metallica song is up in the air, depends on the mood. The intro to Enter Sandman is quite heavy and nasty, but then again, so is half of St. Anger, which, in my opinion, does not suck. Just gotta get used to it. I'm seeing Metallica in October and I can't wait. Already compiling a list of songs I want to hear. By the way, what's the best Metallica song that's been played live?

The_Trebbler 07-18-2004 11:06 AM
Metallica quiz:
Who were the origional members and what part were they in the band?
Dave Mustang=lead guitarist before Kirk Hammet, background vocals
James Hetfield=rythm guitarist, lead vocals
Ron McGovney=bassist
Lars Ulrich=founder of metallica, drums

IamtheDrummer 07-18-2004 11:09 AM

Original Members
Metallica quiz:

I know it was Hetfield and Ulrich, as guitarist/singer and drummer, duh. Dave Mustaine of Megadeth was the original guitarist, before being booted out and replaced by Kirk Hammett (thank god). And the original bassist wasn't Cliff. It was one of their friends. His name was Dave something, McCovney, I think.
