Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 12:38 AM

Good. Listen to the other albums more than Sgt. Peppers, they're better.

some of the nicest guys ive ever met too. weezer comparisons have completely dissolved. Let Go is a wonderful album but the Proximity Effect really puts them ahead of the game.

Luxor 06-22-2005 09:20 AM

Back to the Beatles arguement again.

White Album > Sgt. Peppers > Revolver.

AK47 06-22-2005 09:37 AM

no way

Abbey Road = Revolver > Sgt. Pepper's > White Album > Rubber Soul

adam_Q 06-22-2005 10:16 AM

i really like the red hot chili peppers. some good songs are:
under the bridge
otherside
breaking the girl
californication
scar tissue.

another great band is jimmy eat world. their new album, futures, is amazing. the whole cd is great.

hawthorne heights is another of my favorite bands. they have one album out, the silence in black and white. some good songs are:
blue burns orange
the transition
sandpaper and silk
niki fm

Zappa 06-22-2005 10:54 AM

Actually:

Abbey Road > Rubber Soul = Revolver > Sgt. Pepper's > The White Album

adam_Q 06-22-2005 11:00 AM

or

the beatles >> teh suck.

Tomahawk 06-22-2005 11:04 AM

I've been digging The Twilight Singers, Devin Davis, and the Rolling Stones.

I hate Sgt Pepper, and his lonely hearts club band.
and they are all fantastic
bubbledeath 06-22-2005 02:41 PM

Hawthorne Heights=death

Jimmy Eat World=amazing

I've been listening to that new Stephen Malkmus album more and more lately plus a bunch of femo and pop. I think the summer just makes me happy which makes me want to stay away from the not so catchy and happy stuff.

Zappa 06-22-2005 02:50 PM
Close

White Album > Abbey Road > Rubber Soul = Revolver > Sgt. Pepper's

and they are all fantastic
Did you forget that the White Album is no good?

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 03:37 PM

I know I've pimped bands/records before, but this Nada Surf shit is the real deal.

I just got The Proximity Effect aswell, goodness. I can see the Weezer comparison, but I'd say Nada Surf on a whole are more mature and have a larger scope.

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 03:50 PM

It kinda sucks that I don't get the Cure.

pixiesfanyo 06-22-2005 03:57 PM

Don't get the Cure?

I've never been much of a fan either.

Doctor D. 06-22-2005 03:59 PM

I'm gonna give them a fair shot. Let's hope I can find an album for quick download.

ATM 06-22-2005 04:00 PM

Afghan Whigs
Mono
Dandy Warhols
Radiohead

etc

Zappa 06-22-2005 04:09 PM

Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me is a record in their catalogue you don't hear enough about. It's very solid. Then again, I don't think any albums by that band are bad.

When Let Go came out I was quite into the singles Nada Surf released and I very nearly bought the album on several occasions. Your enthusiasm has inspired me to check it out now.

Little Man being Erased 06-22-2005 04:11 PM

I need to get more Cure albums.

ATM 06-22-2005 04:11 PM

What genre are Nada Surf? I've never even heard of them.
