is mediafire inaccessible for anyone else?
it was for a minute but its working now |
Yeah sort of, there's a bunch of craft material for people to make stuff like jewelry and pottery with too. I still have to learn how to do/explain alot of the techniques for doing it but I keep getting told I'll just pick it up as I spend more time there.
There was a qt doing drawing lessons there yesterday who I talked to for a bit ^^ |

When I first saw that I was more concerned that Surfin' Bird would now forever associated with Family Guy pushing its use in that one scene of Pink Flamingos where the guy lip syncs the song with his anus into further obscurity.
I still lol'd at the inanity of it though |

Yeah I would say watching his entire filmography changed me as a person, however subtle.

It's been a while since i've seen FMJ, was it in that?
Can't remember a soundtrack at all, really. Just the drill sergeant <3 |
Yeah there's one battle scene where it's playing . It's the only time I've ever heard the song. I still need to watch Pink Flamingos one of these days.
I never made up my mind about the last two hours or so but the first half hour of FMJ is so captivating. |
It seems a pretty strong consensus from a lot of Kubrick discussion i've read that after the drill sergeant sequence the film loses its way.
I can't remember anything memorable from the later part at all, there was some quote from some guy in a helicopter and soldiers running around, I know that much. |
There was this cool thing where this guy wears a peace symbol on his helmet right next to the words Born To Kill, and says it's a comment on Jung's theories of the duality of man
other than that nothing comes to mind oh and this really dramatic scene where some black guy gets shot the piss out of that i vaguely recall being gripping |
