I'm listneing to some Dust Bowl Ballads right now, it's definetly my favourite non Dylan folk album. I love the lyrics.

yer i no

Except next year, I'd have to drop out and enroll in the military, then leave.

Not gonna happen.

It was talking about how Constanten, Hunter, Lesh and Garcia were at a party, and Jerry and Hunter got into a car, and Constanten came in. Constanten said he saw "Something that looked like a toothpick", and asked "What's that?" Then he shut up.

pigonthewing82 02-06-2006 08:03 PM

I found a Grateful Dead box set today I bought awhile ago, I forgot how good it was. It is the complete Fillmore West recordings from 1969. It is a very rare box set I own 9,607 of 10,000. They do an awsome cover of Hey Jude.

NP: Paraniod - Black Sabbath another song I forgot how much I liked.

The one that's like 10 discs? I have the 3 disc version of it, and it's pretty sweet.

BigTrav415 02-06-2006 09:03 PM

You guys suck in the CR chat.

I saw a copy of Rust Never Sleeps on my dad's bureau before I even knew about CR/music. My dad is cool.

MidnightRider 02-06-2006 09:18 PM

I want to see that. DOes it have to do with Led Zep at all, or is the name just a coincidence?

PinkFreud 02-06-2006 09:44 PM

Nothing to do with Zep, but it does take place in the '70s and has a bunch of classic rock on the soundtrack (Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, etc).

Yeah man, the soundtrack kicks ass. I actually got it before I watched the movie.

Edit: This word filter is so gay, how do you guys get past it?

pigonthewing82 02-06-2006 09:53 PM

The part I love in that movie is when their dad knocks on the door when they are smoking and all they do is spray something in the air, like thats going to do anything.

Talent.

Actually, just put tags around a few letters. Like ass[*/size] but remove the stars. It should come out like this.

Ass

MidnightRider 02-06-2006 10:10 PM

Oh thanks.

I love the part right after that where the keg delivery man gets to the kids house before his parents go out of town. That would suck.

BigTrav415 02-06-2006 10:15 PM

I gotta see this movie

Well, I'm off to bed. Keep it real everyone.

Someone else does a really good cover of that song but I can't remember who. I like Joe Walsh's version better anyways though.

it seems the rolling stones have finally sold out... they've given into the man, and forgotten their rebel roots.

Pfft.

Five day weekend, another snowday. :D

My highschool draws about half it's students from two villages about 15 minutes away from each direction so if any part of the highway is shut on either side we get closed. I can't even remember school.

That has nothing to do with selling out. I didn't think they'd let Mick say "You make a dead man come" I think 30 years ago he would have argued about them not letting him say it, but I think he's gotten used to it by now...
