Say "Bear can" in a British accent

Now you just said "Bacon" in a Jamaican accent
*Beer can.

And regarding football, I'm a Blackpool fan; cannot believe Blackburn are still in the premiership, they have no skill/spark whatsoever. But we tried playing them at their own long-ball game, was very disappointing that Holloway would choose those tactics :(

nice one, like the Blackpool fans :chug:

been there for our last couple of matches at SJP. alas we don't seem to be able to turn posession into points atm at home.

i've long been of the opinion that Blackburn are not a PL team, don't want to damn them all but seen the toon there once (that was more than enough) and it was a small town, small club with a mentality to match.

guitarbaz 09-27-2010 04:39 AM
If your talking about the Toon vs Stoke game i hear you.

Such a massive let down.
gah, don't even get me started, i was livid yesterday :smash:

Sad But True 09-27-2010 05:04 AM

Hey now! We barely used our one trick pony! First half was all yours though, better in every way, but second half was good. Oh, and thank you, Perch

Also: the music video we did for my sideproject is nearly finished YAY!

guitarbaz 09-27-2010 05:22 AM

video you say? i trust there are bikini'd babes ahoy? :naughty:

You'll definitely stay up this year though, you're having a great run at the moment. West Brom are doing surprisingly well, we've got Liverpool, City then Birmingham next :-\ need to get our act together if we want to stay in this league.

I think we can, West Ham, Wigan and maybe Wolves (or Blackburn!) deserve to go down with the terrible football they've been playing recently. But it's still early days

Sad But True 09-27-2010 05:28 AM

Alas, no :(

We had to shoot it through the wee hours of the morning at Bradford uni; I was awake and working for about 33 hours. Went to work the wednesday morning till 12, ran around picking stuff up till half 1, drove the Bradford, set up, recorded through the night, packed up and set off at 5, got back, went back to work, then went to bed.

It was done for free by calling in some favours but it's not bad too be honest.

As soon as you started putting the pressure on us in the 2nd half we pressed self destruct. Perch isnt a PL player, Simpson and S Taylor need to get back to fitness. At least weve got a few more injured first teamers to bring back in come Jan. Need to get some consistency going.

not to mention Nolan, who has severly lost his mojo. it's time for a bit of a shakeup Mr Hughton....

I really enjoyed that Al, like, seriously. At first, when the guitar is relatively unaccompanied, it sounded a bit out of place but as everything came it it was brilliant. Little bits that I liked the most are the tapping, the pinch harmonic just before you go to the high notes of the main melody, the harmonised guitars at the end in the background, and your vibrato. Exceptional stuff man. What did you use for the strings? And can I get the audio only for this?

jaklyons 09-28-2010 04:06 AM

Really good man. Wicked vibrato and good use of dynamics (the tapping sounded really nice)

he's a bit of a muso

guitarbaz 09-28-2010 09:12 AM

and you've now got me thinking about that (now deceased) american comedian who was a bit of an axe man, long haired tubby chap...what was his name??

Blue_Moon 09-28-2010 10:31 AM

u can dl the audio of the track from putting the url of the page in ere - http://www.video2mp3.net/

and thx, it was unbelievably tricky to play on a podxt... amp modelers are not for dynamics, it was hard to get a decent tone for it with enough sustain, drive and compression without losing the dynamics

every single touch on the guitar was amplified tenfold, even bending and vibrato are kinda weird through the pod it but it turned out pretty well, took a few goes to get it clean and nice but turned out alrite 8)

I'm in a proper Jon Bo mood at the moment.

Wanted Dead or Alive, capo on 3rd fret, sing that motherfucker!
(my voice is quite deep :( )

guitarbaz 09-29-2010 11:23 AM

SBT, just had a listen to your demos on myspaz.

it's not quite my scene but the songs are pretty damn good and certainly kept my attention, it's all tight and sounding spot on apart from the drums - well played but they're lost and seem a bit oddly eq'd which is a crying shame, a bit more depth would have lifted the whole sound. sack the engineer!!

if you get to lincoln give us a shout. how was the night n day in manc btw? that's a pretty big venue on the orig band circuit so you've done well to get in there.

Blue_Moon 09-29-2010 11:26 AM
