Whoah, $7 for a show is kinda pricey.

cbmartinez 01-30-2005 09:05 AM

That's how much shows around here usually are. And for local bands.

Let's Chop Cats! 01-30-2005 10:48 AM

7? Pricey?

HAHAHA.

The average here is 10, anything under is cheap.

Let's Chop Cats! 01-30-2005 10:52 AM
There's a new Converge side project, Doomriders, featuring Nate Newton. I don't like them that much though.

http://www.deathwishinc.com/download.mp3s/DOOMRIDERS.rideordie.mp3
I like it, but it might aswell just be a Converge song.

Most shows here are 7 if its all local bands it can be 5.

Jessizzle 01-30-2005 12:04 PM

A lot of times it 5$ or 10$ with a cd.

cbmartinez 01-30-2005 12:25 PM
I like it, but it might aswell just be a Converge song.
I didn't really hear any Converge in it. Well maybe like Caring And Killing Converge.

Wow, really?

Shows used to be like $2-$6.

Even now you have lots of cheaper shows. I don't mind paying that much, but I wonder what they use all that money for.

SickOnTheBusYouCunt 01-30-2005 12:42 PM

you've got it good, those prices are insanely low

victimofreality 01-30-2005 01:00 PM

When I saw Enisgn, it was only seven dollars I think. Rise Agaist is 10.

tornpictures 01-30-2005 01:07 PM

I downloaded that 'Shape of Punk to Come' album and God it was terrible.

Boring wanker electro ****.

In the punk scene here, the bands always do free shows and shows under $5. I don't like all of those bands that much though so I don't go to many. Other then that, local shows are even $7 now. For bigger bands, shows are always $7-$15.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 01-30-2005 01:36 PM

NEW THE DISTANCE SONG RULES.

www.purevolume.com/thedistance

"Anything Anything"

It's a cover...never heard the song but this cover rules.

Let's Chop Cats! 01-30-2005 01:41 PM

Local shows are 10. If it's a bigger show and you need to buy tickets ina dvance it's like 16+conveniance charge. That's why I don't go to those shows a lot anymore.

It's so lame, barely are there good shows for under 10.

Even crappy local band shows are 10.

NewKindofArmy03 01-30-2005 01:45 PM

Who charges 16 a show? The most expensive show I payed for other then Hatebreed(stillborn fest) was Madball/H20/Righteous Jams/Blacklisted and that was 15, day of the show.

shane italian 01-30-2005 01:46 PM

I'm gonna be pissed tomorrow when I buy my Bane tickets.

NewKindofArmy03 01-30-2005 01:48 PM

I need to buy mine. If I get my Strike Anywhere tickets in advance, i'll buy them too because it's at the same venue. The Bane show is 10 in advance, and 12 day of show.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 01-30-2005 01:57 PM

I think the most expensive a show here would be is 15, at the door. Canadian.

cbmartinez 01-30-2005 02:33 PM

Hamilton St. shows are $10, usually for both local and signed bands (Hot Cross, Psyopus, Casey Jones). I usually pay 5, 6, or 7 to see a bunch of local bands. I'm pretty sure Hamilton Street is like 10, how much did you pay to see Casey Jones, Reiner?

Let's Chop Cats! 01-30-2005 02:35 PM

10 bucks.

cbmartinez 01-30-2005 02:36 PM

Yeah, I think it's reasonable. I don't mind paying $7 to see local bands, especially now that there are some good local bands around here. A lot of shows will usually be $7 or $5 with a canned good.

Has this been out for a long time without me knowing? Because I can't find the 7" anywhere.

cbmartinez 01-30-2005 02:40 PM

Probably from the split with With Honor was it?

A-Life-Less-Plagued 01-30-2005 02:41 PM

Nope, it was on a 7", with just that song. It's on Interpunk, it's out of stock though.

Do you like The Loved Ones?

NewKindofArmy03 01-30-2005 05:05 PM

I still haven't given them a good listen, but I somewhat like the stuff i've heard. Everything in that family of bands(lifetime, kid dynamite, paint it black, etc.) is amazing though. I've also read reviews for their EP and they've all been really good. I'll go listen to them more now. They're playing the Strike Anywhere show too.

Do any of you like Death Before Dishonor? I've been listening to their song on B9.com for the past day, and I really like it... I want to buy their cd at some point.

NewKindofArmy03 01-30-2005 06:12 PM

Yeah, they rule. I havent heard their new one yet. They just played here, but I ended up going somewhere else instead. True Till Death is the best song i've heard by them.

shane italian 01-30-2005 06:23 PM

God I love Internal Affairs. I still think that show was worth stealing a car for.
