Shut your face, ETID is a good band. At least, Hot Damn! is a good album from them, with none of the cliched crap that their name suggests.

6Stringer 08-28-2005 05:59 PM

Today I bought:

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
The Real McKenzies - 10,000 Shots

Quite good.

asymm 08-28-2005 06:07 PM

Today...

Felt - Forever Breathes the Lonely Word
Danger Doom - The Mouse & The Mask
REM - Automatic for the People
Bauhaus - In The Flat Field
I'm slowly liking Angels of Light, and hopefully Swans soon. Micheal Gira is intense.
Hrm.

Awesome.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 06:54 PM

Man, you guys talk about bands I don't even now these days.

Happymeal 08-28-2005 07:40 PM
Hrm.
Well excuse me for checking out your stuffs.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 07:53 PM

No it's not that. I don't really see Angels as a grower, but that's just me.

They're a like it or lump it kinda band for me.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 07:55 PM

Today it's been:

The Ponys - Celebration Castle
Nirvana - Bleach
Pulp
Hot Snakes

I think Josh's remix of DFA1979's Black History Month is a contender for coolest song this year.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 07:59 PM

Meh. You like Maximo Park, so derivitave isn't a word to throw around. But I will agree with you on album choice. Both very solid though.

The Pony's are quite pretty really.

BillCosby 08-28-2005 08:01 PM

Against Me!

Looks like they won't have much of a following compared to Swans, but they're an easier listen so maybe that's why they piqued my interest in the first place.

Jeromes Dream - Discography
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks

Robert Crumb 08-28-2005 08:39 PM

Today I felt funky:

James Brown - The Payback
Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime
Big Daddy Kane - Long Live the Kane
Television Personalities - ...And Don't the Kids Just Love It

And now I don't.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 08:43 PM

You're always feeling funky.

asdf 08-28-2005 09:15 PM

The audioscrobbler says:

1 Fred Frith 47
2 Danger Doom 38
3 cLOUDDEAD 35
4 Phish 32
5 Radiohead 22
6 Viktor Vaughn 20
7 The World/Inferno Friendship Society 19
7 Plastic People of the Universe 19
9 XTC 18
10 The Unicorns 16

The thing about sharing a computer with the rest of my family, is that the audioscrobbler doesn't exactly represent my listenings. I don't even know who viktor vaughn is.

Zappa 08-28-2005 09:18 PM

You apologize for the non-representationality of your audioscrobbler every wekk, asdf.

Dog 08-28-2005 09:19 PM
I don't even know who viktor vaughn is.
Viktor Vaughn = MF Doom

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:19 PM

Viktor Vaughn = MF Doom.

Well, would you look at that.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 09:20 PM

Sup little man?

asdf 08-28-2005 09:20 PM
You apologize for the non-representationality of your audioscrobbler every wekk, asdf.
You're right. I should just stop posting it.

Oh, and if it's MF Doom, then I have been listening to it. Odd that I didn't know that, though. Now I feel silly.

Har har har har

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:21 PM

Hey Tang. Not much. Getting prepared for my trip to NZ next Friday.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 09:23 PM

Ooh. Whereabouts in my beautiful country are you heading to? and for what purpose is your stay?

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:24 PM
Har har har har
Indeed. You know what they say about great minds.

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:27 PM
Ooh. Whereabouts in my beautiful country are you heading to? and for what purpose is your stay?
Heading to Queenstown with a few mates, mainly for snowboarding, but with plenty of time for other activities, such as going to bars.

Zappa 08-28-2005 09:29 PM

You can snowboard in August in NZ?

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:30 PM

It will actually be September, but yeah, I believe you can.

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 09:32 PM

Yes you can.

That's a shame you're going Q-town. If you came to Auckland we could've hung.

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:34 PM

Yeah, 'tis a shame. Are there many ski fields up that way?

Tangy zizzle 08-28-2005 09:36 PM

Hehe nah none at all. Closest we have is Mt. Ruapehu which is 3-4 hours drive south. Ya' don't get no snow up north.

You'll have fun in Queenstown. if you've got a lot of cash to burn you'll have a GREAT time.

Little Man being Erased 08-28-2005 09:39 PM

Yeah, I've got a decent amount of cash to burn. I recently got a nice little bonus payment from work.

I've been over there before, but it was about 8 years ago or something.
