A first edition BS LP is black on the inside, with the inverted cross and poem etc...pretty much the same as my version, although the inside of mine is white.
I think it all boils down to where you buy it from though. |
Yeah ok. So what would you say is better brum, Technical Ecstacy or Never Say Die?
NP - Gypsy |
Hey does any one here have the BS reunion tour double cd set?
I love what ozzy does for the vocals on the song Black Sabbath. That dude has a very wicked laugh. |
I don't have it but I heard Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, it was alright but I was quite pissed off with the fact they only did the first half.
|

NP - Gypsy
Hmm. I'd say Never Say Die!, it was a bit more experimental than Technical Ecstasy and it all worked quite well. NP - Bill Ward - Straws |
Deep Purple's "child in time" is good....
Neway, anyone seen DVD: Black Sabbath, The Last Supper? Really enjoying it. seen it a few times now.
I didn't know there was a new DVD out, I might get it. Rumboy: Thanks for giving DP another chance. |

I have the album too, and its definitly brilliant. Great setlist, and it sounds awesome. |
Great setlist at the time, pretty bog standard for Sabbath these days
play wicked world and extend it to 18 minutes again damn you *shakes fist at sabbath poster* |
Would that be the one from the Past Lives CD? I have that hung up as well. :thumb:
Is there any extended solos on the Never Say Die! DVD? Does anyone know? |

Hey drum solo by alcoholic Bill. You can even tell he was an alcoholic by Technical Ecstacy because the drumming is nothing compared to the earlier stuff which is brilliant and VERY underrated. Also the drumming is really good on Born Again(if you can even hear it with all that crappy mixing).
|
Considering the size of Bills kit back in the early 70's, his drumming was incredible.
I came to the conclusion yesterday that Symptom of the Universe from the Past Lives album is the heaviest thing the Ozzy-era of Sabbath ever performed, its brilliant. |

Has anyone heard Candlemass' Sabbath medley? It's great. If you post in the Candlemass thread, and put your email down, then I can send it to you. They do a great job.
|
What songs are played in the medly?
|
What songs are played in the medly?
It starts out with Symtom of the Universe, then it goes into Sweet Leaf, then Electric Funeral, then something else, then Black Sabbath. |
Awesome, I can't get it though. Slow internet.

That sucks. |
Oh yer it does.

Hey so whats everyone's favourite Tony Martin album?
|
Headless cross, slightely cheesy but still my favourite.
Alot of people i know think TYR is the best but i just cant get into it, theres nothing there to keep me interested |
When I first got that album I listened to it from start to finish almost constantly, now this is something I don't usually do with albums, so its very special. But I hardly ever listen to it anymore and I really have no idea why. Although talking about it makes me want to hear it again lol.

TYR Its one of my all-time favourite Sabbath albums aswell. I might try and get hold of his new solo album soon.. |
Im listening to samples of it right now. So far it sounds great, better than what Ive heard of Fused and Ohmwork.
|
What does everyoen think of Black Sabbath's first album? I'm thinking about buying, but I don't really feel like buying anymore repetitive riff albums. I heard The Warning and it seems pretty cool. Is it an accurate representative of the rest of the songs on the CD?

I quite like Ohmwork, its grown on me recently. I prefer Black Science though. |

Anything Vol.4 and later for the Ozzy eras. Technical Ecstacy in particular is good for not having repetitive riffs. |
