Is this an official live version, or is it a bootleg?

DeusExMachina 07-22-2005 09:30 AM

Probably a bootleg, I don't think Pink Floyd ever released a live album that included Pigs. And Pink Floyd is definitely more important than TV.

Yeah, it´s a bootleg, I´m listening to it now, it sounds great. Gilmour is a guitar god

bootleg, the sound quality is decent, but NOWHERE near the sound quality a live official album of Pink Floyd would have.
but the song is AMAZING
i hope that atleast 1 animals show was recorded and they plan on releasing it
i really want to see a video performance of either dogs or pigs

DeusExMachina 07-22-2005 10:26 AM

Is there an official video of the WYWH tour? I would kill to get hold of that.

Kingofdudes 07-22-2005 10:30 AM

I got another bootleg of Pigs, the sound quality isnt as good, but it is still a good track. Ill upload it tonight.

DeusExMachina 07-22-2005 10:33 AM

Cool. I heard a really awesome bootleg of Wish You Were Here with like a 3 minute acoustic guitar solo in the beginning that was just amazing. It was on that website that streams Pink Floyd bootlegs. Does anyone have a recording of it, by any chance?

Mr. Black 07-22-2005 02:24 PM

Wish you were here... great song
I think that The Wall > Animals. I like them both a lot, but I found Animals didn't live up to the hype. It just gets boring to me.
I agree that The Wall is better, but not because of any problem with Animals, just because The Wall is probaly my favorite album ever.

Oh, and thanks WheepingGuitar for uploading the Pigs live thing, I'm going to dowload it now.

Scooch 07-22-2005 03:42 PM

Yea but only for Have a Cigar

Animals has never been remade..

KingofDudes: another one?!?! awesome! cant get enough of those pigs solos

Obi one: no problem, i just had to share this wonderful bootleg that every floyd fan MUST have with you guys

ehh i didn't like the vocals so much on that live track.

zetabossio 07-22-2005 06:34 PM

HEY guys i would like to say something , dont you think that A momentary lapse of reason and The division bell are pink floyds best albums. NO , i dont hate roger i really apreciate him but i think that those are the best albums . what do you think?.

Umm... I haven't heard enough of Division Bell to make judgements, but I think many of the other albums are far superior.

I think otherwise.

Klander Brigade 07-22-2005 07:12 PM

Has anyone ever been to the laser show? I went in April and it was amazing. The glasses they give you make it 10x better. Plus they play Wizard of Oz behind all the lasers and smoke. I'm not sure if it was exactly synced up to the music though, I was too overwhelmed. Anyone else ever been?

I think you're insane but people say the same thing about me when I say Syd Barrett era Floyd is better than Roger Waters era Pink Floyd. I don't enjoy Gilmour's era Floyd at all.

Syd > Roger > David (era Floyd)

Isn't Gilmour's era basically everything Floyd did except for PATGOD and The Final Cut?

Lunch 07-22-2005 07:45 PM

I think by Gilmour's era he means MLoR and The Dvision Bell, and Roger's era is Saucerful to the Final Cut, I could be wrong though.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-22-2005 07:56 PM

Even though I prefer Gilmour to Waters, the era that Waters fronted the band was definitely their pinnacle greatness.

meh
gilmour's solo pays up for it

I think Animals - The final Cut is Rogers era. Saucerful - WYWH was a team effort in my opinion.

Lunch 07-22-2005 08:48 PM

I'd agree with you, I was just interpretting what I thought Schyma meant.

thats for sure
i mean
just to give an example, One of these days... Time... they have all 4 members credits
you dont see that often on Animals through Final Cut
