I hate people who say Metallica is better than megadeth.
i wouldn't say megadeth are better than metallica either, though. apples and oranges, y'know? they both sound so completely different, i don't think they're up for comparison with each other. |
i know, i'm just sayin like in a sort-of thrash sense.
|
Me too, The BTU tour?
Naw, I saw them on Gigantour. |
Naw, I saw them on Gigantour.
lucky. At least you got some good suppoting acts (ie Nevermore, Symphony X, Dream theatre), i had to see this s h i t y band 12 stones. :upset: |
Gigantour sucked though, because huge venues always suck, no matter who's playing. Unless you're one of 12 lucky assholes in the pit.

Symphony X is so underated. I mean theyre sic!
|
I actually think they're overrated... but they owned live.

Dave mustaine is such a bad a ss live. At any of your guy's concerts did he do that whole 'salute to metal' thing with his guitar.
|
When did marty leave?
|
I'm not sure, but his solo stuff is pretty cool.
When did marty leave?
After the risk tour in and around 1999-00, i think. Then Pitrelli took over for TWNAH |

Yay I finally got my RIP guitar book and I'm blown away at how hard this sh*t is on guitar.
I tried poison was the cure and I immediately stopped as part of the intro was at a tempo of: quarter notes=320 bpm. ........Just......no......:upset: I think I've got the first part of 5 Magics down but the song that I've gotten furthest on is holy wars. BTW, can someone please resend me Peace Sells. The link expired by the time I was able to get to a computer that has a burner. (which was today......:upset: ) Thanx. |

At the end of the concert he took out this customDV8 with the BTU art on it and walked around to the different sides of the stage and held it up in the air and everybody just starts screaming. It was one of the coolest ****in things ive ever seen. |

Nah he didn't do that at download but he had the custom DV8 BTU artwork. He lent his silver DV8 to Wednesday 13's guitarist. |

Looks like Dave has decided to keep on going with Megadeth. :thumb: He had me worried for a while, but I'm very happy with his decision.
This is from the Megadeth website. THIS JUST IN: "YES, MEGADETH IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO PLAY" DAVE MUSTAINE makes his announcement after a special version of "Coming Home" to the Argentinian crowd at the sold out show in Buenos Aires. "I told you earlier tonight that I was gonna let all of you know first before the rest of the world what our decision was - whether or not we were gonna continue with MEGADETH or not," MUSTAINE said before playing a special rendition of "Coming Home", with the song's lyrics changed from the original "I'm coming home to Arizona" to "I'm coming home to Argentina." Immediately after the song, MUSTAINE said "The answer is yes." MEGADETH will continue as a band. MEGADETH will record a new album. MEGADETH will continue to play. Sorry if you guys already saw this. |
I hadn't. But cool I guess. Second time Mustaine's done this... meh. Its still cool. Go back to small venues though please.
|
Awesome.
I saw them at a small venue of about 800 mathias :-P |
Sydney?
I think it's ****en awesome, but I'm wondering, is Mustaine able to write killer music still? |
Awesome.
I saw them at a small venue of about 800 mathias :-P
The place I saw them at on the BTU tour was pretty small and awesome. But Gigantour was really lame. |
Yeah, Sydney.
Hearing the new members on an album will be awesome. Then it would be like they are officially part of Megadeth :D EDIT: I saw them on BTU tour too. You would have got Exodus as support though wouldn't you? |
Yeah. Exodus would've pwnt so much more with their current singer though.
|
Yeah, you saw them with faggy steev esquiveel, and I got to see Dungeon.
:-* |
I know I'm late and all but Yay for Dave carrying on Megadeth.
|
Unless you're one of 12 lucky assholes in the pit.
I was one of those assholes. :D It was great.
