I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here, nor do I care.
Who's everyone got in the Super Bowl? I bet 20$ (that I don't really have) on the Steelers with my Dad. |
Well then let's just forget about it. I was actually thinking I kinda wanna listen to some PATGOD, but I think I'm gonna go play guitar in my room instead.
|
I think the Steelers are gonna win, although I'm not entirely sure that's what I want to see. I have pretty mixed feelings about both teams.

holy god thats awesome.
edit: where did you find this? |
Guitar forum.

God, I'm so anxious for the Superbowl. I wish they'd just play the damn game already!
|
Anthem of the Sun is one of the worst Classic Rock albums I've ever tried listening to.
I wouldn't say that. It can be inconsistent at times, and a little splotchy but it has enough high points to warrant at least a few listens. If one wants to try some Dead studio albums, there's no reason not to pick this album up, just to see whats out there. |

Yeah no kiddin', I've got 10 bucks on the Steelers. My uncle has 200 on the Seahawks, so I can't wait to see his crazy post-game tirade when they lose. |

NP: Pink Floyd - Any Colour You Like (live)
Animal House = Greatest Movie Ever. I watched it last night. I'm on a little bit of Belushi kick with Blues Brothers friday night and Animal House last night. I like Anthem of the Sun. Aoxomoxoa is a lot better, but it's pretty good too. I've got 10 on the Steelers. |
I'm not much of a sports guy :-/
|
5 bucks on Pitt. Although I should be going for Seattle, its going to be one of these games were I want Pitt to win because I hate losing money, but I want Seattle to win cause I like um more.
I'm picking Seattle to win just because I betted against the underdog and I usually lose when I bet for the favorable team. One of the worst CR album IMO = DSotM. Vomit-o-rama. |
Only five?
I put $125 down on Pitt to cover the spread (they're giving 4) |
I've got 5 on me not being that interested in this game. :/
I've not been in to the NFL at all this season. |
I've got 5 on me not being that interested in this game. :/

This is one of the games I couldn't bet on. I really have no idea about it.
|
NCAA > NFL
This season, yes. I was really into following Penn State. College Basketball is 100% better than the NBA though. |
Only five?

When my teams aren't playing well I don't watch football or any sport (Eagles, Cowboys, Knicks, Blazers) I probably would not even watch it if it wasn't for the half time show :) (I would still watch it but not really care to see the first 3 quarters.) |
I couldn't place any bets because practically everyone I know is going for Pittsburgh. Gonna be pretty sweet though.
Aoxomoxoa only has one weak track, but I prefer their s/t to it. s/t(1967) > Aoxomoxoa > Anthem of the Sun |

I think I'm like the only person in the country who actually likes the NBA
I don't have enough faith in either team last year I put 75 bucks on the Eagles, I haven't watched enough football this season to really have an idea who is better.
I think I'm like the only person in the country who actually likes the NBA
I don't have anything against the NBA, except for the fact that no one really plays any D, I just think that College Hoops are better. Better rivalries, more history, more exciting. March Madness is one of my favorite times of year. |

This confuses me. People complain about how no one in the NBA plays defense, and they also complain about how "no one can shoot". People in the NBA can shoot, but shooting percentages are down because players do play defense in the NBA. 20, 30, 40 years ago there were few players like Ben Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Tayshaun Prince, or Marcus Camby, big guys who were also athletic enough to defend on the perimeter. NBA players are so athletic that it's increasingly difficult for players to get open shots (which is why shooting percentages have gotten lower and lower). Of course in the past two years the NBA has cracked down on perimeter defenders (the same way the NFL has cracked down on defensive backs), and that's made it a lot easier for offenses. But yeah, the average NBA player is a better defender than the average college player. After all, when was the last time you saw a rookie named Defensive Player of the Year or named to the All-Defense team? They are usually the worst defenders on the team (mostly due to the fact that they are used to guarding substandard competition; even the worst NBA shooters are better than the shlubs from the bottom rung of the Sun Belt Conference or whatever), which is one reason why coaches cut down on their minutes. I agree with everything else in your post, btw. |
I just watched an NBA game. I'm a decently big Raptors fan, been to about 6 or 7 games, watch 'em on TV. They got beat be the Clippers in OT but Bosh had such a easy shot to tie but missed. Sam Cassell took it to us today.

Even scorers like Kobe are developing incredibile jump shots. (I've never seen his shot look so good). The NBA has some great defenders, especially in one on one match ups, but they can appear to be lazy at times. You don't ever see everyone hustling around the court denying people the ball. Many players can stop a drive to the bucket or block a lot of shots, but it's their D away from the ball that makes them seem not as good. |

Running around the court chasing the ball is a pretty foolish thing to do. Sometimes it works out, but most of the time the offense just picks that part by going to the guy who is left open. In a standard man to man defense, you can't leave your man to chase the ball, that's just undisciplined. In a zone or a half court press it's acceptable, but you usually don't want to leave your man because chances are it will open up a hole in the D. You can come over in help defense if someone is going to shoot or if they're driving (or even if a less skilled ballhandler/passer is stuck in the corner), but a guy is better off staying at home. |
Ya, it's just like if you watch proffessional soccer, you can't be leaving your man open and chasing after the ball all the time.

They sort of stand around lazily sometimes, not even in a good stance. I've never seen anyone playing Duke style deny defense. |
Well, Duke has Shelden Williams, so they can afford to gamble like that.

Hey guys, I got the Who's album "Who's Next" deluxe edition. Its really good some of the songs (Like Barba O'Riley, or Bargain) I've only heard on live albums and I think are better in the studio. But there is a live album for a second disk. It is the Young Vic concert in 1971. Won't Get Fooled Again is great and altough it's not exteneded into a jam like on Live at Leeds "My Generation is amazing, Townsend's playing is great. I think he felt he had something to prove to everyone at this concert since in the liner notes I read it had a lot to do with the Lifehouse project, as most of the songs on the original "Who's Next" are.
