Seriously I hate people who go around and shove it in my face that they're in calculus or whatever, I honestly don't care and it doesn't bother me that someone is special enough to be that far ahead of me in one subject.
Yup, sounds like you don't care at all...

>_>

Iluvatar 01-19-2009 11:26 PM

Hey Steve I'm smarter than you because I'm in Calc III

RouteOne 01-19-2009 11:26 PM

well, first of all theres absolutely no way you can possibly measure intelligence.

adb 01-19-2009 11:28 PM

6.5 inches

Iluvatar 01-19-2009 11:28 PM

um yes its called the iluvatar intelligence indicator or III

pretty much everyone is ranked in a fraction compared to my intelligence

Angmar 01-19-2009 11:29 PM
Yup, sounds like you don't care at all...

I was clearly stating it irritates me that people rub it in my face and act like they're better that they're in a higher math class, not that the fact they are itself bothers me.

Reading comprehension ftw.

Moon Flavor 01-19-2009 11:31 PM

Well how am I supposed to know what you measn when you don't tell me how you really feel
You have no idea the amount of people at colleges who are political science or something and say that math/science/engineering has nothing to do with intelligence and it's just plug and chug blah blah blah
Part of the reason I made math and science independent rather than formal academic interests is because there were too many upper middle class transhumanist white males in my fields (EE and CS) who believe they will one day be able to upload themselves into Everquest and forever leave their mortal fetters behind. (When you look at the lifestyle of these kinds of people, it's not hard to see why they would want an alternative.)

The narrow-mindedness of some engineering majors is extremely shocking, although the same could certainly be said of linguists, etc.

AA-12 01-19-2009 11:34 PM

faggots

AA-12 01-19-2009 11:37 PM

oh and high school math doesnt mean ****. logic does.

adb 01-19-2009 11:40 PM

AA-12 01-19-2009 11:40 PM

Angmar 01-19-2009 11:43 PM

Angmar 01-19-2009 11:44 PM

Except I've learned a lot in school especially my last 2 years.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 11:45 PM

Guys I just want you all to know I'm far more intelligent than any of you. THat will be all kthx.

Oh also, engineers can be a lot of fun. Not the asians...but the americans tend to be pretty chill.

Oh and **** math.

PS It depends on your high school but I was more intellectually challenged in high school than college.

AA-12 01-19-2009 11:45 PM

i've learned a lot in the last 2 years too.

RouteOne 01-19-2009 11:46 PM

My mom sayz I'm smart and I'm her little guy so she wouldn't lie 2 me ok

Iluvatar 01-19-2009 11:46 PM

well yeah but how much of that will you apply in life

a lot of people go into careers that dont involve much of your high school learnin so they say that kinda stuff. the most important part of grade school is lernin how to lern so eh
