Haha, no Toad was I think the little guys were fast and Bowser and Donkey could like crash into people, but were slower. Peach was perfect, fast and big. Wario wasn't in the 64 version, god you suck.
Yes he was  Toad had good acceleration, but he wasn't very fast. Heavier characters like Wario and Bowser were slower to start up, but moved faster once they got going. |
I played N64 with my band a couple of days ago. We played Goldeneye, Zelda and Pokemon Stadium 2.
I was discussing this with my friends t'other day: Goldeneye = best N64 game ever. No contest. |

Ocarina of Time. Perfect Dark. Mario Party 1. Super Smash Bros. Mario Kart. I wouldn't say no contest. |
Goldeneye was my favourite.
NP-Neil Young & Crazyhorse-Down By the River (live '76) so sweet Anyone download the 74 bootleg I sent out? |
Goldeneye or Ocarina of Time. Both of those games were years ahead of their time, and are still some of my favorite games.
Anyways.... I bought Illinois by Sufjan Stevens tonight. I'm hoping for some good music. |

I have it, although I have not found the time to listen to it.
The mini games were the only thing I played too.
That's what we played, except once when I pwned him using rental pokemon. It was so pathetic, it was funny. |

I think my favourite is "Chicago" or "Jacksonville".

??? I've been playing my brand new Schecter Stiletto Studio 5, oh it is so nice. It has the most amazing slap tone and it seems like it makes me play faster. /continues rejoicing My favorites on Illinois are John Wayne Gacy Jr., Decatur, and Come On! Feel The Illinoise! |
For 64 Mario Kart, the order went:
Top row: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad Bottom row: Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser Wario was in the N64 version, just not Waluigi. |

I was always Toad, anyone with a shroom for a head is my favorite.
|
lol @ that pink floyd/wizard of oz thread. i doubt floyd made dsotm just for wizard of oz, considering dsotm came out like thirty-five years later.
|
Hey does anybody have Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs they could upload?
|
JonG/jpj/anyone who cares, you guys should get the Dead Show podcast on iTunes, it's free, and basically every week or so they send out an hour's worth of live stuff in one file. Pretty cool.
I was the Goldeneye/Super Smash Bros./Mario Kart/Pokemon king, being an enormous video game freak. I would always play Complex on Goldeneye against people, and totally pwn them because I knew where all the secret places and good guns were  In Super Smash Bros. I just plain kicked arse with Link and Fox, Super Smash Bros. Melee for GC is awesome too. Mario Kart was also good at, I've found that over time Double Dash! isn't nearly as good as MK64, for one thing the music is just horrible. It repeats the same thing on every level, over and over again. On the N64, they had different, awesome music for every level, at the very least for levels of the same theme. The items and stuff are cool in DD, but I still love 64 the best. Pokemon, don't even get me started. I'll just say that I got up at 6:00 every school morning to watch it and leave it at that. Oh, and of course the absolute orgasmness of Super Mario 64. That game was secks in a cartridge. np: Grateful Dead - Big River |

Yeah I mean it does line up, but its not that close. I think its pretty obvious just by doing it that its just conincidence. Besides I think its something more psychological and that we natrually try to make it line up since we are so used to video and audio lining up. For example I was watching the part in Spiderman when he is chasing the guy who shot his uncle and Jimi Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower was playing on my cousin's computer and it lined up perfectly. In the slide part in the solo when he slides down Spiderman desends, when Hendrix slides up Spiderman asends, it was really cool, but we didn't try to do it we were just uploading the song to his itunes and it played when it was done. |
It says i need a credit card to get to the podcast (because i dont have a music store acount)
I'm cd shopping tommorow and i have NO idea what to buy :( |
Didn't see any one mention it but 56 years ago today (Feb. 3) Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly died in a plane crash.
I shall listen to La Bamba, once and since I don't like Buddy Hollys music he shall get no tribute from me! |

/has it on DS, not quite the same experience, but good, nonetheless. Does anyone here like BNL? I got some of their albums a few days ago and I think they're quite good.
something about mario kart
Haha, you have the same avatar size as the norms now! You're one of us... one of us... |
Yes, all 3 of them died in northern Iowa too :)
Can't remember which lake it was. RIP |
Clear Lake... I don't really like Buddy Holly at all but Ritchie is a great singer.
|
Buddy Holly is awesome. What are you talking about?
:) |
Eh, his music isn't as lasting as say... Mr. Valens or any one's he's influenced. Influential no doubt just his music does nothing for me right now.
|
I think we're all neglecting the real talent in that bunch, I mean come on..
"Helloooooooo baaaaaaaaaaby!" hehe, classic. |
ha. the big bopper. we were learning abouot his in rock history and got to watch a clip. he was just a dj who got lucjy too. weird ****n ma.
