evilmenhavenosongs 08-12-2005 07:00 AM

So does it count as advertising if we make a thread about a band without a record deal who only have a myspace or something? Or is it because we're assuming that that was his band?

munky_magik 08-12-2005 07:03 AM

It's his own work.

evilmenhavenosongs 08-12-2005 07:04 AM

Oh ok. Everytime I saw a thread about a myspace band it was closed so I was curious.

Thanks. :)

munky_magik 08-12-2005 07:06 AM

More often than not when someone has just signed up and is posting myspace links they're just whoreing their work.

Just check their post history ad see what it says.

I'm worried that this may turn into a flame fest... No need for a close, but some postcount ++ posts are occuring, and a lot of hatred for the shredders is also apparent.

Watchin, thanks man,

I've decided that I will do a series thing to.
last week I've posted my first in the series I will be doing, so could by any chance a mod do me a four?

Well, we have SOOOOO many stickies at the moment that Im REALLY hesistant on stickying anything else.

Also, Iceburg or whomever is so concerned about the rep thing, quit spammin up this thread about it, it doesnt matter. Continue and Im going to -rep you for it.

Something else, I am going to just edit inside of the posts you guys post up about problem threads instead of actually creating a new post to save space in this thread.

ADDITIONALLY, I am playing a show tonight so I won't be on at all. Look for DBJ if none of the other R&M mods are on tonight and you guys have problems. If it is small problems don't bug him, I'll get em tomm. morning when I get out of bed.

EDIT: Good luck with you show.

I understand about the spam thing, I have accually been deleting posts to remove the spam. Is there any chance we could speak on AIM or MSN? Not about rep I just think you will understand when I tell you.

Thank you.

Why was my Solo thread closed, I didn't see any big problems or flame wars.

It had run its course, it was time for it to go.

Kingofdudes 08-12-2005 07:39 PM

My suggestion about user band series, someone make a seperate thread to archive all of them. Then link that thread in the rules. That will save a lot of room in the rules thread.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-12-2005 08:20 PM

I'll get on that thread, Aaron.

Jom 08-12-2005 11:52 PM

I think a better idea would be to make a new post in the R&M Rules thread, and have one of the mods edit in the links that way.

Mekkalayakay 08-13-2005 02:12 AM

Well I see SFK is back. With like 5 bazillion closed threads on the top of the page. :p

edit: By SFK I mean SonorKen. :upset:

/you changed your name ages ago and I still miss it.

I would prefer a seperate thread that will provide further details on each series. For example what is each series about, what day they are usually posted or anything else the authors might want to say.

However, since the mods arent fod of more stickies a seperate post will be ok. The point is though that many people dont know that in the rules thread there are other things besides the rules so they dont check it out.

Mods is there any way we could make a new YSI thread where we can trade full albums instead of the one there is now where you can only do a couple songs

it would help out a lot more people

also it wouldn't have to be official-so if i made one, would it be closed?

Go buy the damn CDs. The mods in here dont want to have to deal with legal issues like that.
