Yeah, the quality was horrible. But the fact that it was live footage of Dark Angel alone made me cream my pants.
But that singer, he was so bad. I mean, it was like they just picked up a random guy to do vocals for them. I guess I'll just have to wait for Darkness Returns and see how the new Dark Angel turns out.

AND HAVE STOPPED BEING A METALLICA/ANTHRAX FANBOY

AND KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THRASH

PLZKTHXBI

Well said. That made me laugh a bit, but then again, I've had a **** day with the impossible Chemistry and reading "The Great Gatsby". I listened to some Thrash while working, and well, I got nothing more to say >.>

I've been looking on the net for some good thrash bands out today, and I've actually found some really neat ones from South America. It seems to me that thrash only exists outside of America now ._.

Now everyone wants to be like In Flames, Soilwork, or The Haunted. If this is what's replacing thrash, I might as well cry...ok bad idea.

I just decided to leave such a long post because I saw how Vio-lence was pissed about certian members not leaving anything, so here's my weekly post. I've actually listened to the sound clips from Vio-Lence on their site, and wow, if those are from Eternal Nightmare, I can't wait for the re-release...definitely worth my money.

I thought that was Ron Rinehart. Well at least from what I can remember, the girl said "MR. RON RINEHART!".

Wasn't Ron the vocalist after Doty got ejected because he couldn't stay on the beat and couldn't keep up with the band?

That's at least what I read...well from Thrash Zone. I have to go back and re-read the bio on the offical DFA site, because I forget stuff :upset:

Let me know if I was right or wrong.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2005 03:37 AM

/hasn't gotten off his arse to order Bonded By Blood yet.

Another Lesson In Violence makes up for it but :D

I think don got kicked out because he was not commited and Gene has said in interviews he was shit live.

LordDargon 03-03-2005 06:17 AM
I don't have Bonded By Blood.
 It's the definition of thrash!

Ravenous: If you mean thrash NOW, there's a ton of South American bands, and a couple of German ones, and a Norwegian one... There's also a Greek one called Drunkard. That's all I can think of.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2005 07:54 AM

It's funny how i have nearly every Exodus except for Bonded.. (and Pleasures Of The Flesh). Stupid amazon never have the version with the babies on it

>:[

LordDargon 03-03-2005 08:00 AM

The "slow" parts on Merciless Death are as fast as the fastest early Slayer song - Black Magic, and as fast as Bonded by Blood or A Lesson In Violence.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2005 08:05 AM

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS will enter the studio in early April to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Tempo of the ****ed", tentatively due this fall via Nuclear Blast Records. EXODUS' as-yet-untitled new album will once again be produced by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) and will mark the band's first release with new vocalist Rob Dukes. Among the tracks set to appear on the CD is "Shovel Headed Kill Machine" (working title), which guitarist Gary Holt has described as "one of the fastest EXODUS songs of all time."

yay.

That was Ron Rinehart, and I thought he did a good job. Definately not his best performance, but it was good nonetheless.

The new Exodus sounds promising, lets hope that it is a full-on thrash record instead of a half-and-half one.

I wouldn't care if it was like Tempo of the ****ed. I thought it was a great album. Dammit, it's annoying me waiting for these bastard Megadeth tickets to go on sale. The gigs in a month! why aren't the tickets up?

NP: Overkill - Time To Kill

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2005 06:17 PM

Heh, i am also waiting for darn Megadeth tickets to go on sale, where are you?

ThrashMaster27 03-03-2005 06:22 PM

Good old Melbourne. It's at a good venue aswell, so that + Megadeth + Beer should make it an interesting night.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2005 06:23 PM

i hope to get to the sydney show :D

Same here, I liked TOTD as well.

You're gonna have to let me know how the Megadeth show is when you go!

Yeah, I missed probably the last chance to see Megadeth.

You not planning on seeing them yourself then? I'll give you the highlights when I get back from the show. I'm just hoping some music from KIMB will be included into the set, but aside from Mechanix, it's highly unlikely.

Can always hope!

Yeah, I had a mate that was into Megadeth nearly as much as me but he's pissed off to Europe for a few months. Apart from him I have 2 other friends that like Megadeth, but aren't die hard fans, so it;s touch and go. I'd love to see Five Magics in the setlist actually! that'd be great.

Haha, it's a great song. I heard Dave felt guilty cause he had Marty singing back up vocals about the Panzer Division when Martys Jewish.

Bonded By (Baloff) Blood is definatley one of the albums that defined thrash, it's pathetic some people in here don't have it

That's similar to the fact that Rick Rubin's Jewish and produced an album containing a song depicting the merciless slaughter of millions of Jews. Oh the irony :p

Apocalyptic Raids 03-04-2005 04:12 AM

 didn't know Rick Rubin was jewish.

Although i guess he would have known that Slayer aren't nazis, unlike so many seem to think after reading those lyrics.

Overkill is one of, if not the, best thrash band(s).

TheChosenOnes: Welcome to the Titans! :chug:

I picked up that Possessed tribute album, and all of the covers are f'n excellent. Jeff Beccera even does vocals on the cover of "The Exorcist".
