What's the sonata one like, Titch?
Im gonna place a gues and say Brilliant, hasnt arrived yet though
I have every Freedom Call album apart from that.. What's it like?

For The Sake of Revenge is a pretty good live album.
my bad i phrased my last statement bad, i should have said i have orderd for the sake of revenge and 'the circle of revenge'

thinking of ordering a powerquest album, but will probably leave it till next week unless someone says they are brilliantly awesome and i should get it as soon as possible

SIDE NOTE: grr i cant find a drumkit anywhere i like

Shattered_Future 05-15-2006 05:05 PM

What kind of drumkit? Real or Fruity Loop?

For The Sake Of Revenge is quite good. Still not as good as the real thing, but there's some great moments on there. Especially when they screw up during Replica, and the Hava Nagila tribute.
Damn, I've just listened to Lethal for the first time. They are very good, it's a shame they split up.

NP: Lethal - Arrival
I bet you got that from the Daily Upload... seems no one had heard of them so I had to remedy the situation

I am quickly becoming a Gus G. fanboy... I didn't realize how many bands he has been a part of, both power metal and melodic death:

Dream Evil, Mystic Prophecy, Nightrage, Firewind, and was touring guitarist with Arch Enemy in 2005...:amaze:

Np: Firewind - Warrior

I imagine it is. I don't remember ever getting it, they just popped up when I was listening through all my songs on shuffle. Very good stuff indeed.

Lord Abortion 05-16-2006 05:06 AM

Replica is such a great song...Last drop falls owns my soul at the moment too.

Stormrider 05-16-2006 08:11 AM

I have 2 Firewind songs and they're pretty cool. I would need to get more.

Lefty 05-16-2006 11:42 AM
I didn't hear any mariachi or Latin influences at all when I listened earlier, just sounded like regular old power metal to me. Very good power metal at that.
Thanks a lot. Actually, the two songs on myspace are quite misleading as far as mariachi influences go. The two other songs on the demo are more representative in that direction. Though the main ingredient will allways be heavy/US metal.
Eh, usually self promotion sticks to Audio Arena and the Bands of MX thread (http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458897)
Allight, thanks. I'll whore it out over there. :)

Stoic 05-16-2006 12:11 PM

Firewind sound generic as hell to me :-\

I want a mapex one, ive tried a fair few i like, but im being picky about it

i will have to live with for the sake of revenge because with their current touring schedule i will never see sonata live :upset:

Trev 05-16-2006 02:00 PM

Shadow, what's your budget?

Ideal chance to whore my kit I think.. Deth 05-16-2006 07:11 PM

Nice kit you have there. My friend is thinking about getting a new set, and I'm obviously trying to talk him into it.

Ibanez Slayer 05-16-2006 09:18 PM

dragonforce is blowing my mind right now

Lord Abortion 05-17-2006 08:14 AM

The set for For the sake of revenge looks really good.

No Weballergy though:(

...or My selene.

Wuthering Heights review, bitches.

Stormrider 05-19-2006 04:09 PM

Damn ! I still don't have BG DVD :(

I have to wait another week just to see if I'll have it. I'm not even sure it will be next week.

Shattered_Future 05-19-2006 04:50 PM
Replica is such a great song...Last drop falls owns my soul at the moment too.
THE UNDERWEAR SONG!!!!

We were shouting that when they played it...

I almost bought Imaginations Through The Looking Glass tonight, but since I'd already seen it, I decided to wait. I'll get it eventually, no doubt, just not tonight.

Picked up A Night To Remember by Evergrey instead. :)

Arucard 05-19-2006 06:47 PM

Firewind make me want to cry.

Anyway, recently Angra, Symphony X and Ark Storm have retaken my life.

Hurrah for neo-classical power!

Shattered_Future 05-19-2006 06:49 PM

Wooot.

Speaking of Symphony X, does anybody have The Dark Chapter by Romeo? That album makes me want to cry...

Stormrider 05-19-2006 07:15 PM

I really like the 2 Firewind songs I have. :shrugs:

I don't have much Symphony X....

Shattered_Future 05-19-2006 09:14 PM

Did you get all the stuff off of their website?

If not, get all of that. Unbelievable.

Synthetical 05-19-2006 09:30 PM

I only have 3 Firewind songs...Warrior, Northern Sky and Escape from Tomorrow. I don't really like Warrior - but Northorn Sky is a sweet instrumental and Escape from tomorrow is a great song also, don't much like the singing though.

NP: Sinergy - Spit on your Grave
Did you get all the stuff off of their website?

Firewind's website or Symphony X's website ?

Holyed 05-20-2006 07:03 AM

Saw Angra supporting Dragonforce a year and a half ago, they were so raw. Nova Era is one of my favourite metal songs ever.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-20-2006 07:14 AM

Raw isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Angra.

Shattered_Future 05-20-2006 08:32 AM
Firewind's website or Symphony X's website ?
Symphony X. Firewind I could care less about...

Yea, "raw" and "Angra" shouldn't be in the same sentence together. They're really refined, I think.

Stormrider 05-20-2006 08:50 AM
Symphony X. Firewind I could care less about...
Ah ok then :p

I don't have much Angra. But I like about half of what I have by them :-/ I don't think I have the too great songs...

Holyed 05-20-2006 09:12 AM
Raw isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Angra.
Sorry, I was using London slang for 'really good,' does kind of throw off the comment.

Poofy 666 05-20-2006 06:04 PM

Can someone tell me where I can order some Dungeon cds? Their website is down (at least for me)

Shattered_Future 05-20-2006 06:33 PM

Amazon? That's where I'd go...
