So that 17" A custom crash on ebay went for $155 plus shipping which is a little much. I found one on craigslist for $125 but it doesn't have an actual picture of it. So i e-mailed him hoping for him to reply with a picture.

I use Scottish Pipe-Bands on the pad. I swear they're about a kg each. Great for getting definition out of the longer-stroke rolls [ie 9 stroke roll] used in Stick Control.

No i can't really. My mom brought something up that is a good point: I only started looking because i saw the one at guitar center for a good deal. Now only because i saw that i want to buy one and i'll almost take anyone even if it isn't a good deal.

So i'm going to hold out until i find one i really like.

This is a very good motto. I go by the same idea. While it is super important to know your basics and be able to excell in normal playing situations, you have that much more vocabulary and technique to pull out when you want to make a specific musical statement.

If there is anything that i cannot do, i try to learn how to do it and practice it.

The best way to approach it is by going through all the ryhthmic placements for each note grouping.

An example would be: eighth notes

Play groupings of 1 eighth note, place everywhere in the measure. Then do this with 2 eighth notes. All the way up to 7. This is what Conversations in Clave goes through.

Once you do this over the clave with each limb, try adding the cascara in the right hand and the tumbao in the bass drum!

lol, i hate pdf, and i love this place, for the most part.

pdf is boring crap, no one speaks their mind, a kid will post a kit with cymbals cracked in half, and drums in angles that make it hard to even see the head, and all they can say is "thats a very nice drumset"

i just hate all the rick spoiled brats on pdf, with the ten thousand dollar kits at 14 with the rediculous mics, who never gig, and never post audio, and in all of their little things under where they post it says [COLOR="Red"]im [COLOR="Yellow"][/COLOR]a [COLOR="Blue"]fruit[/COLOR][/COLOR]
