the state exists to represent and protect the people, not to spoonfeed them whatever they're too lazy to achieve on their own~*~*~*~*~*
the state exists to protect the long-term interests of capital.
it all comes down to being an egotistical, mean-spirited jerk
well DUH.
This is psuedo-extremism at best.
extreme rhetoric is fun. it's not like i don't mean what i say, there's just not much of an opportunity for action.

whiteminority 03-25-2010 05:32 PM

i think the majority of people here mean exactly what they say, i just think the reality of making most of those actions come true is unlikely without mass support among those who are truly disaffected. and as the case is those who are ****ed the worst don't give a **** or don't think at all.

i agree with that on the basic level but i would say protection of all people equally requires a government of stepping in and preventing predatory behavior that denies people of this equal protection and equal share. in my opinion, this predatory behavior is often characterized by profit-based and capitalistic business practices

This is why everyone here should be excited about the new Black Breath album.

Justin & Mappy what do you guys think of http://thatspunk.net/blog/2010/03/auguries-of-innocence-demo/? I think you are the only two I can try this **** out on. I mean you like Whitechapel and stuff like that, and I don't know of anyone else in here that does so...

RetiredAt21 03-26-2010 08:17 AM

Downloading right now, pretty sure this is gonna be awful, though.

EDIT: yeah this is terrible.

christsimpson 03-26-2010 09:29 AM

it rules pretty hard tbh.

RetiredAt21 03-26-2010 10:52 AM

Super lame and generic tbh.

whitechapel used to be so much fun before they got signed

RetiredAt21 03-26-2010 12:43 PM

What do you mean?

witchxrapist 03-26-2010 02:20 PM

ben's too hardcore for death metal
whitechapel used to be so much fun before they got signed
they still rule tbh

flesh 03-26-2010 02:41 PM
What do you mean?
Ben is from the same state as Whitechapel so he probably got to see them play house shows and small venues, which in most cases is fun even if the band isn't very good.

witchxrapist 03-26-2010 02:48 PM

August Burns Red = the PA Whitechapel.

But to be honest, Whitechapel's a very solid band, it's cool if you're not into that, but they're all exemplary musicians, and Phil Bozeman has a ridiculous vocal range.

flesh 03-26-2010 03:15 PM

oh, i haven't actually heard whitechapel. i just threw the "fun even if the band isn't good" thing in there because its the tr00f when it comes to small house/venue shows.

witchxrapist 03-26-2010 03:16 PM

I agree completely. Although I still listen to a lot of bad metalcore bands from the area that I saw in that type of setting just for nostalgia.
the state exists to protect the long-term interests of capital.
cool, too bad they're just lining their own pockets with our money~*~*~*

whiteminority 03-26-2010 05:30 PM
What do you mean?
like half of the band is from the same town as me. before they got signed seeing them play floor shows with 200 kids piling on for articulo mortiis was ill as ****. i think they're boring nowadays but that's just how i feel about deathcore in general. somatic defilement is still a rad record though.

witchxrapist 03-26-2010 05:32 PM

this is exile is just as good as the somatic defilement tbh

whiteminority 03-26-2010 05:34 PM

SD is more party to me.

witchxrapist 03-26-2010 05:36 PM

This Is Exile is more HOLY **** THE VOCALS to me. And I do those types of vox so they matter too much to me.

RetiredAt21 03-26-2010 06:49 PM

I don't like This is Exile. The Somatic Defilement rules, though. Love it.

witchxrapist 03-27-2010 04:35 PM

I just love generic death metal with SICK gutturals lol.

I mean seriously, http://myspace.com/paraphiliasoontochange, this is the most favorite band I've ever been in.

cobert 03-27-2010 06:23 PM
cool, too bad they're just lining their own pockets with our money~*~*~*
yeah

but blaming the gubment is blaming the shadow, the shadow cast by capital and busines interests.

witchxrapist 03-27-2010 11:55 PM

i guess, if you're a noob

cbmartinez 03-27-2010 11:57 PM

;)

cobert 03-28-2010 12:33 AM

actually no we're saying different things

I'm not saying "government should step in and protect people from big bad business" but rather "government is an extension of big bad business."

teenager on the internet 03-28-2010 02:17 AM
