Uh, seriously how old are you?

14. 15 in 2 months. I can't wait to hear something stupid about my invalid opinions because of age.

This is earth control to ground control!!! Ya I skimmed it because I was in shock that someone is in the Boy Scouts. I was in it for about a week till I decided it was to hardcore for me. Wow your young, I could see that that was apparent in your posts now that I think about it. Well good for you getting into music at such a young age. When I was 14 I my favorite band was Jane's Addiction... they still are but whatever. |
14?
man what a fagget, ill just not listen to him. |

What the **** is going on in this thread. I am getting lost here. Always.
|
Ok, I get it, I sound like a kid in my posts. I've said how old I am in MX before, everyone always says they didn't realize how old I was. I guess that's why everyone else in here always is more conversational about religion and drugs and stuff, I'm really still not sure about all that.

There is reason I don't post in here as often as I used to. |

Whoa, whoa, whoa. My view of ideas of everyone are getting crushed tonight. I thought you were older.... we'll I guess I'm not that old I just turned 16 a month ago. Eh.
Ok, I get it, I sound like a kid in my posts.
Didn't mean it like that. |

That comment just made me very close to spamming this thread. Obviously no one in here is gonna look down on you because of your age. Everyone in here acts like a 12 year old half the time anyway. By the way...that picture of Keith Richards and Neil Young that was posted a few pages back...I could definitely point out who was on coke and who was on coke and heroin. Cool picture though, it's nice that at least a few drug addicts manage to still love their music more than their drugs. Guaranteed that there have been at least a few guitarists who had the potential or were destined to become better guitarists than Hendrix/Clapton/Gilmour etc but they chose drugs instead. I bet Dylan could have easily died before he even made it to New York...his dad told him to go work in the mines and those things are death traps, he could have died while hitchiking to New York. I'm thinking too much. I'm going to bed. edit - man, it took me so long to type out this post. I was going to be the first one to reply to that comment. And I laughed very loud at Illmatics daycare joke. I can't believe I said that no one would make fun of his age. |

I just said that to see what joking/flaming responses people would come up with :p That's right, you're simply a pawn in my plot, besides, me and Blue Pie are already taking care of the spam :thumb: np: Grateful Dead - Rythym Devils |
Some of the best guitarists did drugs, herion to be exact. Clapton, SRV, Harrison, Page, etc.

I always thought Clapton was so dam lucky he didn't overdose. From what I heard about his reclusive period he just sat in his house all day shooting herion. Hes had so many problems in his life its a wonder he is still here. A blessing, but still a wonder. |

Actually their peak playing was in the middle of being a junkie. |

Way too many people get into heroin. That's the kind of stuff you should know to stay away from. I could never even touch my tongue to a heroin needle...I have a very addictive personality. And I like to feel gooooood. I have something that is four steps down on the badness scale but is similar in effect to heroin. Kratom leaves. They are used to get opium addicts off of opium, but they were made illegal in Thailand because everyone got addicted to kratom instead. And if you know your drugs, you'd know that heroin is synthesized from morphine, and morphine (and codeine) are the two main drugs in opium. I haven't actually tried the kratom leaves yet, I've wanted to, but it's hard to find a time and place to try them with my two friends (who pitched in on them). So they are sitting in my closet. edit - And guitrguy, you can't tell me Pages peak was when he was a junkie. Why do you think JPJ took over on ITTOD. Page wouldn't even stand to play at concerts anymore. BB King just started sitting a couple years ago and he's a freakin fossil, no disrespect to Mr. King. |

Clapton's peak playing was way after he beat his addiction. But Page's was probably in the middle. |

If kratom is like Opium it will create an out of body experience. |

Page's peak was not when he was a junkie! I think Page's peak was in the early to mid seventies. He wasn't a junkie until the later seventies. I'm not saying he didn't do drugs before that, but I'm talking heroin addiction. Well, if you consider Achilles to be Pages finest work, then I suppose you are right. I don't though. I consider his live playing on The Song Remains the Same to be his best. But I also prefer his raw stuff to his more polished songs. |

I personally like pages later 70's work. |

lies. unless you consider the stale, made-for-radio albums he's been making recently his "playing peak." i think his playing peak was during his addiction, during his stint with derek and the dominos. it was so passionate and fiery. his playing now, in a technical sense, is pretty good. he's still very smooth. it just lacks that fire and tension he gave during what i consider his peak. |
