lol I had to do community service once in a food shelter. I had two 12 hour days in a row where I had to help scoop cheez-its from huge ****ing boxes into bags, then label them and put a twisty tie on them. For 12 hours. No break. :(
That sounds like great Community service. At my place, we get them in and they get the easiest things to do, normally hoovering. Last week though, they got to help take the residents to the theatre, which meant they got to watch a show for free, and hours taken off their community service. What a joke.

I still got like 30 hours to go so I can graduate, plus I got to do a graduation project. But I can add the work from the grad project to my portfolio, so its all good.

switched 01-19-2009 03:30 PM

lol community service to graduate what kind of **** school do you go to

Angmar 01-19-2009 03:30 PM

lol I can't believe you guys had to do that much community service.

Jev 01-19-2009 03:31 PM

I thought you were all talking about criminal community service. Having to do it to graduate sucks.

RouteOne 01-19-2009 03:32 PM

about to make a delicious burrito

:fart: loLoL

Si1v3RfaNg 01-19-2009 03:33 PM

Yeah we originally had to 60, but I knocked off the first 30 in like a week and havent thought about it since then. And yeah I go to a public art school.
your broom must be pretty big
hahahahahaha!!! OMG I can't stop laughing!

Nostalgia 01-19-2009 03:37 PM

I guess I'll ask the administration if cleaning all non-whites from school counts as service.

Angmar 01-19-2009 03:37 PM

so young and easily amused

If you want that to count Austin you'll have to run it throught the NAACP and the ZOG.

Deth 01-19-2009 03:45 PM

I had to do 40 hours of community service in high school. Grand majority of people just got random people to sign stuff and people ended up with like 20,000 hours for their college application which is such a blatant lie.

Angmar 01-19-2009 03:49 PM

The UW app barely asked about community service.

Morumbar 01-19-2009 03:50 PM

What the.. I never had to do any of that **** in high school. XD

pate 01-19-2009 03:54 PM

We didn't have to do any community service.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 03:55 PM

Community service should be offered freely not some chore, selfish assholes.

Nostalgia 01-19-2009 03:58 PM

It's because you guys are old as **** and high school requirements are different now.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 03:59 PM

My elementary school required community service yearly. 40 hours as I recall.

RouteOne 01-19-2009 04:03 PM

haha I went to a catholic high school and they didn't even have us do ****.

pate 01-19-2009 04:04 PM
Community service should be offered freely not some chore, selfish spatulas.
Volunteer work should be volunteered not required.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 04:07 PM
Volunteer work should be volunteered not required.
I agree with that as well.

It shouldn't have to be required, but nor should it be if it isn't offered.

Angmar 01-19-2009 04:08 PM
