What's the point of taking online classes, you don't get any of the college expierience and there's no way to meet anyone new through school, which is the easiest and quickest way to meet new cool people.

At least they're pointless when you're young, I can totally understand it if you're say a working adult.
Says the high school kid.

ghettoeddo 01-19-2009 09:01 AM

pwned

McP3000 01-19-2009 09:15 AM
yeah but he's still right so who cares
Except not at all.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 11:21 AM

tbh online classes are a lesser intellectual experience and that is why not to take them it has nothing to do with the "college experience" which you can get by going to the houses around a campus on the weekends anyways.

Deth 01-19-2009 11:41 AM

Electrical Engineering is so lame.

Permanent Solution 01-19-2009 11:41 AM

More like awesome.

Deth 01-19-2009 11:47 AM

Definitely not my area of interest. I had to take Elec. Engineering or Thermodynamics as an 'elective' but Thermodynamics didn't fit in with my schedule.

pate 01-19-2009 11:54 AM

I had thermo last year. It's lame.

ghettoeddo 01-19-2009 12:04 PM

thermo is gay.

immunology is awesome.
as are business classes. GPA buffers for the win

jrowa001 01-19-2009 12:15 PM

french was the easiest A and gpa booster, but im done with french now. education classes are a lot of writing and long boring classes but as long as you do all the work then you get an A

Thermodynamics is ick.

Lower division electrical engineering is kinda **** too. My graduate work is much better and more interesting now that I've gotten out of circuits. At this point I'm like CS/EE because I do work in algorithm design, platform optimizations because it's pretty key in developing good signal processing systems. Invaluable skills ftw.

AA-12 01-19-2009 12:57 PM

i really want to do CS->Programming but good god **** math

the2stranger 01-19-2009 01:26 PM

Sup?

repcak 01-19-2009 01:34 PM

I listen to Capitollium - great band from romania!

Angmar 01-19-2009 01:42 PM
Says the high school kid.
What's your point?

the2stranger 01-19-2009 01:45 PM
I listen to Capitollium - great band from romania!
I'm listening to some Darkthrone.
Classic and still great, no matter how often you hear it.

You're not the best source on 'the college experience'

Angmar 01-19-2009 02:13 PM

I never claimed to be lol, I meant that I would like to expierience college for all that it is and I don't see why people would want to devoid themselves of that and just sit at home on their computer for college. I know that if I had been homeschooled I would not have gotten any of the fun times and good friends I recieved through high school, don't really see how college could be that different.

masscows 01-19-2009 02:16 PM

maybe it's just because i'm an insecure negative nancy but I really didn't find my 1st semester of college very enjoyable

Angmar 01-19-2009 02:22 PM

Do you think you would've had more fun sitting on your computer at home doing it? :p

Txus 01-19-2009 02:28 PM

Idk, college is awesome.

masscows 01-19-2009 02:28 PM

high school was gay

and i'm transferring to another school this fall so hopefully the situation there will be better, though I get nauseous just thinking about going somewhere where I don't know anyone (again)
