Unban Me Says Cameo 03-01-2006 12:55 PM
I am liking where QC is going, and I'm back to being in love with BTMI!
I <3 QC so much. I feel lame being so attached to unreal people, but whatever.

KingOfSka 03-01-2006 01:43 PM

BTMI! is hella good. I have both their albums. I really like the electric drums on To Leave Or Die In Long Island.

Blow Your Brains Out on Live TV!!! is good too.

It happens to us all. I read lots of webcomics so I'm attached to lots of sets of unreal people.

Liebensaft 03-01-2006 02:30 PM

The only webcomic I seem to enjoy is White Ninja.

AIRIC 03-01-2006 03:18 PM

I love QC.

AndreTheHyena 03-01-2006 03:36 PM
Hey Andre. I just bought The Great Shark Hunt. It's been so long since I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and On the Campaign Trail I forgot how good Hunter S. Thompson actually is.
He's so genius. I have yet to read "The Great Shark Hunt". I prefer his various Gonzo Papers books, the collections of his various letters and articles.

What is BTMI?

Liebensaft 03-01-2006 03:40 PM

Bomb the Music Industry!

Member(s) of Arrogant Sons of Bitches, I believe. They're pretty good. They have 2 albums and both are free for download on their site.

Flagjacket 03-01-2006 03:47 PM

Hunter S Thompson turned every pothead into a pseudo intellectual. Besides that the work is enjoyable. BTMI is really good.

KingOfSka 03-01-2006 04:57 PM

ASOB and BTMI! are both really awesome. I'd love to find more about them but the information on them on the interweb is really limited.

I hate how all the awesome bands I like are totally unknown. Siren Six, Jeffries Fan Club, Green Day. Ah.

You should read Transmetropolitan. It's a comic book set hundreds of years in the future with a journalist based on Thompson as the main character.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-01-2006 06:09 PM

Okay, so today in the record shop. I found a FFFRV that had an all black and white cover, the back still had the faces of the country band, and the record inside was labeled from Cherry Red. It also had the Frankenchrist/Geiger poster inside.

I have no idea what's up with the rarity of that. I know the poster was in the place, I just thought it was cool.

Hopefully Nick can tell me something baout how many were printed with that band on the back, before they made them take the faces off.

Flagjacket 03-01-2006 06:10 PM

Cherry Red is the UK label for the Dead Kennedys.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-01-2006 06:12 PM

Yeah I know. I was just wondering about the people on the back.

Anarcho Poser 03-01-2006 06:19 PM

I was in the Salvation Army today and I saw a couple of emo kids, starbucks coffee in their respective hands, perusing about. The best part is they talked just like the kids in the scenester video. I laughed.

Liebensaft 03-01-2006 06:41 PM

Oh god, that scenester video cracks me up.

Glitterati 03-01-2006 06:43 PM

What scenester video is this?
The only webcomic I seem to enjoy is White Ninja.
WN is so great <3 I love the new one about kiwis.

Liebensaft 03-01-2006 06:46 PM

I prefer the one a little before that with the squatting midgets.

I'll look for the video and link you if I find it.

That is weird that the poster was in there.

I don't know how rare it is, because it's not something I necessarily care about.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-01-2006 07:09 PM

Hahaha, I have seen that. Forgot all about it.

Dang. I know there were a limited amount of those.

And yeah, I found the poster and I was like "Oh man, this is sweet! Wait..... what?"

Straaaaange. I'll keep an eye out for it.

"They really bring the mosh"

I'm more into getting all their albums on AT because it was before they were mastered and like to hear what they were like before EBR ****ed with them. So far, the orginial In God We Trust Inc is so much better than the remastered.

StruckEverywhere 03-01-2006 09:54 PM

Guyz, I need some help. Someone tell me of a music downloading program where you can change the proxy settings, I can't live without being able to download.

sketchyjoe 03-02-2006 05:16 AM

I gave a tramp some change last night just because he was asking everyone who walked past him if they'd lend him £50.

TakeWarning 03-02-2006 08:27 AM

I found it quite unusual to see beggars the first time I went to England.

sketchyjoe 03-02-2006 08:37 AM

Why? I assume you have tramps in Australia. Isn't your most famous song about one?

POINTLESS5448 03-02-2006 10:13 AM

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-02-2006 10:22 AM

How does you hair make you look like you're from the hood?

sketchyjoe 03-02-2006 10:25 AM

He has "I'm from the hood" shave into the back of his head.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-02-2006 10:30 AM

Nice :thumb:

Acronyms contain capital letters.

StruckEverywhere 03-02-2006 04:12 PM

Oi you bastards, give me the info I need.

Liebensaft 03-02-2006 05:09 PM

I think you can change proxy settings on most p2p programs. Just try a bunch and see if you can find one that works.
