Little Android Man 02-14-2007 09:51 AM

amen to that.

we got like 2 inches, and we got a snow day today.
of course, it is also sleeting, and the roads are almost completely frozen over, but who the hell cares?

coffee_spiders 02-14-2007 09:54 AM
Ah.

But yeah, like I said.

There are 14-year-olds.

But then there are like.

30's, too.
I see. Well big range, that's a good thing.

Gosh, i want some more snow...

Sunshine 02-14-2007 09:56 AM

It depends on where you live, really.

Like when everybody [but my high school] south of Tucson had a snow day that one day, it's because there was more than an inch.

You realize I live in the desert.

There are no salt trucks, no snow plows, no sand-spreaders, people don't know how to drive in the snow...it would be a serious hazzard to have people out.

And the reason THEY have a snow day..well...I don't know if you could tell or not, but busses and cars kind of couldn't be out, and it'd be hard walking on snow up to one's hips...

Oh shit.

My cat didn't come home last night and he's nowhere to be found now...

Oh fuck. I got kicked off IGF last year, so it looks like this year i'm gonna miss out on meeting Billy Cobham and Chad Wackerman. Actually I might still get to meet Chad, but it'll be a big trip for a masterclass..

Sunshine 02-14-2007 02:26 PM

Worst.

Valentine's day.

Ever.

I mean, it's the first year I've actually had a boyfriend on the day, but...

My cat went missing.

I've had that fuzzy little jackass for almost 9 years now...and now he's gone....

TTTSNB 02-14-2007 02:32 PM

^ Ouch, that really sucks. Cats are awesome. :(

Sunshine 02-14-2007 02:34 PM

I love the little fucker, and now I have to go to the UPS store and make a bunch of "LOST CAT" copies and post them all over the neighborhood...we live RIGHT next to the highway, and my cat is such a dumbass, he might very well be roadkill right now, or lost very far away so that if someone finds him they won't see the posters or or or...

God, I need to not cry.

MattMarlow 02-14-2007 02:37 PM

Sorry to hear that Sunshine, hope he turns up :)

My dog went missing for 5 days, and just strutted back in as if nothing was up. Don't give up hope!

Drum Phil 02-14-2007 02:39 PM

I love my cats. Lil critters arent allowed out at night.

Sunshine 02-14-2007 02:47 PM

Thanks...luckily we got the chip in him so if the animal shelter picks him up, they won't put him to sleep or nothin'..gonna go make those copies now, I'll see you guys later..

I'm hoping he's stuck in someone's garage. Someone close by. He has a weird habit of going into garages, and I've been waiting for him to get stuck in one...I hope he does..

the_pure_drummer 02-14-2007 02:49 PM

Good luck sunshine!

C ya later!

coffee_spiders 02-14-2007 02:51 PM

Hope you find your cat soon. I'm sure he's just keeping warm somewhere. :)

MattMarlow 02-14-2007 02:54 PM

Hello, You're welcome. And i think you gave me some? I don' really know how to check it though.

MattMarlow 02-14-2007 02:57 PM

Look under User CP at the top coffee:)

And pure, yeah Ronnie Vannucci drums for the Killers.

Peart looks a little like Tom Hanks I think, any other drummer look-alikes?

the_pure_drummer 02-14-2007 03:00 PM

Hey big question.

Ive never really listened to pearts stuff before but does he play jazz?

He did a killer job on the Buddy Rich tribute cd. Probably better than Rich himself.

He is the drummer for rush, one of the best ever.

http://www.napster.com/view/artist/index.html?id=10000051

Lisen to some, you will love him.

MattMarlow 02-14-2007 03:10 PM

I don't like the glow parts, the black is nice, you play double bass then Phil?

And Pure, you must listen to Peart now mate. Try and get hold of the live version of YYZ on the exit stage left... album, it's awesome.

Win A Rabbit 02-14-2007 03:11 PM

I told a friend of mine that we're making chocolates today at work, and now she wants to come. She's too old, and she's most likely going to be high on crack. And I'm telling her she can't come. But she wants chocolate.

So I think she's settling for hanging out with me after work and I'll bring her chocolate. I really hope she doesn't come, I don't want to kick her out.
