Pretty much a folk/viking metal and epic doom combination kind of thing, really awesome.

i was going to get Doomsword but i wasn't too sure about the folk/viking part but i'll check them out [COLOR="YellowGreen"][size=+3]ELIMINATOR[/size][/COLOR]

They are a lot more doom orientated then folk/viking, at least on [I]Let Battle Commence[/I]. The viking thing is more of their theme and such.

At first I need a nice synth, my keyboard has some nice synth features, but it's not a real synth.
I also need some effect pedals and a 16 track recorder, then I should be all set.

I'm listening to Pantheist.
It's been ages since I last listened to them, but they are so good actually.
For people that enjoy Fallen, Pantheist is certainly worth your time.

Their self titled album has some folk-ish moments, unlike Resound the Horn.

i dont really listen to doom much, as i've stated i'm a doom noob but someone recommended me some Unholy and i finally got around to listening today, i thought it was great. do you guys like them?

good stuff, the one i got was called From the Shadows. the songs are a bit lengthy i thought but the band is pretty good at keeping it interesting most of the time. lots of acoustic interludes too, it was worth the time for sure.

I love [I]Amartia[/I]. Very good funeral doom, with the occasional blast beat even.
I feel sorry for missing them, some time back.
It was a free gig to make it worse. :(

Get that TAP release, it's called [I]Weighing Souls With Sand [/I]and it's my favorite album of 2007.

I've been listening to a couple of releases out of my rather small death-doom and funeral-doom collection in the past couple of days.

The vocals in Pantheist put me off, a bit. I don't like those style of really deep vocals.

Deathcrush: Feeding the Abyss is a great album.
