Nice. Tool fanboys would probably rip whoever it was replacing him to shreds.
So you want me to be ripped to shreds? :amaze: |
Yeah, some of their songs are kinda lame I guess. But they have a few songs that I really like. But the songs that everyone else liked, I hate. Like "Red" and "Closure". Those songs aren't really that great to me .
I'd say their only song that has stuck with me that I still like is An Evening With El Diablo. That song has a really cool feel. |
I've heard bad things about Pete's voice in concert too, from my freinds.

What did I say about those smartass fans? Replace Maynard? Hm...I know. Hire Maynard James Keenan as a session vocalist. |

I forgot about that song I'm putting it on in a second. |
I actually haven't seen as many fanboys on here as I thought I would. At first I thought I would, though. With monikers like "Adam Jones is God" or "Tool Owns You," you'd think that they'd be fanboys, but theyre not. But you're right about Tool fans in general, it'd be pretty fvcking hard to replace Maynard.

No it wouldn't, dammit. |
Anyway I'm getting 300 and then I'm out for the night.

 You gotta send us your vocals, man. On another note, it's good to see that this thread is very active now. |

According to Seinfeld, a statement like that either leads to an awkward silence or sex. |
 Actually, I was referring to the fact that it wouldn't be hard, it would be impossible.
But I am a great singer. I definately see an usurption of Maynard's position in the near future. |
I think thats like four pages since I posted in here today.
|
Usurping? Or him quitting? Because I couldn't see the rest of the gang kicking him off. I'd wet myself if that happened.
|
I told my friends (all major Tool fans. many of them don't listen to much anything else) about the whole Meshuggah sound and the new album. They had never heard of Meshuggah, and I let them listen. They threw a fit. It sucked.
|
I'm just kidding. I can't sing at all.
|

But I am a great singer. I could also dish out a death metal scream all day. I can get that high pitched scream that MJK does in Ticks and Leeches, but only in the beginning of a session. Drinking creamer helps with that. |

Since there was an awkward page-change there, I'll quote my previous post:
I'm just kidding. Just make sure they know that we have no idea where the acutal influence will play a role.
I tried, but you don't understand. They were about to rip there Tool shirts off right then and there. |
Usurping? Or him quitting? Because I couldn't see the rest of the gang kicking him off. I'd wet myself if that happened.
I'd just want to know who you would pick for vocals if Danny Adam and Justin were to make music without him. |
I tried, but you don't understand. They were about to rip there Tool shirts off right then and there.
 I'm quite confident they'll be singing a different tune when the album comes out. |

It's time to put this to rest. There has been a MAJOR misinterperetation of what Danny Carey said about the Meshuggah tour. Tool isn't going to have a death metal record with all screaming and death-style guitar parts. All that's happening is that when the band started putting together new songs, things got somewhat heavier. Maybe that means less stuff such as The Patient or, say, Disposition, but it's not going to be an album of all Ticks and Leeches'. |

Meh. They should know that Tool won't change their style dramatically, I'm pretty sure it'll be a subtle influence. The biggest change will likely be the heaviness. |
I'd just want to know who you would pick for vocals if Danny Adam and Justin were to make music without him.
I know what you were talking about. I was actually asking Kage. |

And to be fair, the Meshuggah influence might stretch farther. Maybe there were certain aspects about Meshuggah aside from their sound that influenced, or perhaps inspired Tool. Yes, sources say this album will be heavier and slightly more complex, but this Meshuggah thing is on overkill. |

My bad. Postcount+ |
Well I consider Third Eye, as their best and heaviest song, so I hope thats the direction they're headed.
My bad.
Postcount+
No prob. :D And the whole night in this thread has been one giant poscount ++ surge for me. |

Completely agreed. That would be amazing. Okay, all, I'm out. This has been cool with everyone here and this thread really active. We should do this more often. (Or maybe I just miss these times). |
