My iPod hasn't been too bad.

But it does what you just said. It doesn't always connect with my computer.

Heh, that sucks. Unfortunately, I can't help you, as I've never had that happen.

Luckily, my iPod has worked perfectly so far.

Yeah...if I can get it to do it once so it's loaded I'll be content...but being without it here sucks so bad and I don't want to send it in again. If I don't get it by Saturday though I'm going down to Best Buy and basically telling them to give me a new one because this is gay.

bottlerocket 02-09-2006 06:15 PM

I always sorta wanted an iPod but I don't need one...I drive and all my CDs are in my car. I guess it would be easier to just have my iPod in the car but not really worth it for now. Once iPod becomes a definitive staple in the music industry I'll get one. They'll be a lot cheaper then, too. :p

Get one before uni. You won't be driving around in your car all day and it'll save you the trouble of bringing your CD collection to uni. Trust me, it's well worth it at uni.

There's some MP3 player that's supposed to be as good as an iPod but cheaper and built with higher quality...Creative Laboratories or something?

Spoiled little brat. ;)

I pay for everything...my parents and I don't get along well. I was a mistake so my parents have treated me accordingly since I was born. I usually make my own dinner (sandwiches and stuff) and things like that...they're not paying for me to go to colleges, either, so I gotta get loans and crap. Sucks, but whatever.

They pay for my sister to go, though. :upset:

You know, at least you've learned to be independent. That's really important for later in life.

A Creative Zen.

I had one, but It fell out my bed and broke, so I took it back, and got a refund.

And got a Walkman instead.

I would definitely recommend it though.

 Well...no comment on that one.

Yeah I'm definitely really independent. I like it but it sorta sucks. I was screwed out of a childhood. I mean, I saw my sister get babied by my relatives all the time and I was just sorta "there."

I remember when my parents told me I was a mistake. It was at a Christmas patry and they were a little drunk...I was like 8 or 9 or so and my dad was laughing about something with my aunts, uncles, and older cousins, so I came in and they were like "Speak of the devil! Gavin! I was just telling Uncle Dana here how the condom broke and you were a mistake. But don't worry; you're my favorite little tax break!"

Or something along that line.

Man, after 17 years and a robbed childhood, that shit builds up over time and gets to you...

:-*

What you need to buy is:
Cheap Laptop (to run minimal stuff, word, excel, itunes...)
External Harddrive (Depending on how much music you have...100+GB should be good)
iPod (I prefer 60 GB but 30 is good too. Don't get shuffle/nano though)

Rissa: Keep telling yourself that...:p

I do vocals in a screamo band so I've got plenty of energy/time to get my thoughts out. Right now, though, all the songs are about the whole prom thingie, but I've got a crapload of other ideas floating around in my head; social issues, political issues, my family life (or lack thereof), growing up in general, etc.

Bah, I wish I was in a solid band. I hate being in between stuff.
My friend and I have been talking about just forgetting finding more people to play with us because it's so hard to find reliable people.
And the past few weeks I've been toying with the idea of just recording a few songs or something for the hell of it. I think we might. *shrug*

Can you sing? I play a tiny bit of bass and guitar. Enough to make some simple pop-punk type songs. but then I'd have to find a singer, so I'd rather just sing. I can't play well enough to do both at once though. If I play and sing I sound terrible.

What do you play?

I can scream...and I play bass...and guitar...and a little drums...and a little keyboard.

Bass is my forte, though. I love it. :thumb:

I play guitar when I'm in a band. But I'm pretty mediocre at it.
I always like singing so much more though because I can be energetic and bouncy. I actually really like my singing voice.
But I also play:
piano/keyboard
cello (going on seven years)
bass
clarinet/saxophone/otherwoodwinds
trumpet

Oh man...I was at Guitar Center trying some basses out. I was just putting a bass away when a girl walked into the bass section, sat down, and actually played some cool bass riffs (Primus and stuff). I was so stoked I asked her out right then and there.

She had a boyfriend. :(

I want to be in a ska band. I should talk to some of the guys in my music class and see if their interested. :p
