Sad But True 09-16-2010 07:30 AM

I was like 3rd time, but that's because for the first two I absolutely bricked myself as soon as someone was sat there silently judging me. Third one I passed with 1 minor though.

Sad But True 09-16-2010 10:16 AM

Also, one of my favourite unsigned bands broke up recently. :(

Squirrel 09-16-2010 10:22 AM

I passed with no majors and 2 minors.

and the moment I passed it was one hand on the wheel other sat on the gear stick.

Bruce E Kinesis 09-16-2010 10:36 AM

squiz is there a new UK thread?

Squirrel 09-16-2010 11:30 AM

Same. But, tbh, with my car at the moment this is how I have to drive when I'm in 5th or else it shunts it out of gear whenever you accelerate/decelerate.

SBT... strangely enough was in stoke today (in passing)... going to alton towers. how be thee?

Sad But True 09-16-2010 04:22 PM

That's the best way to be in Stoke really. I'm alright son, thee sen?

I've been mega busy this summer like, did that tour thing, tracking/mixing the recordings for it, working nearly full time, new gf, finding a house, money troubles (yay for debt) and so on. Going back to uni will actually be quite relaxing in comparison.

Also, I've massively gotten into APC the past couple of months, I think their song The Noose might just be the best thing ever.

Am I the only person on earth who thinks APCs best song is 'Pet'?

Sad But True 09-16-2010 05:05 PM
Am I the only person on earth who thinks APCs best song is 'Pet'?
I love Pet, it's immense, and it was my favourite until I really listened to the album properly. Thing is with pet, right, it's a great song, good riffs, ace lyrics, but to me there's just so much more depth and intricacy to The Noose that I think makes it better.

The_Mop 09-16-2010 05:17 PM

Yer the noose is ace. That album has by far the best production of any album I've heard, without doubt. Really like vanishing also.

My favourite APC songs have always been "The Outsider" and "Judith". All kinds of awesome.

Sad But True 09-17-2010 10:02 AM

Yeah Judith is mint but again, just seems a bit straightforward in comparison to the noose. Although I really like Counting Bodies... of the covers album.

FUCK YOUR GOD

Seriously though, I agree, "The Noose" is brilliant, it's right up there. Special mentions go to "The Nurse Who Loved Me", "Breņa", "Pet", "Blue", and their cover of "Imagine".

The_Mop 09-17-2010 03:06 PM

Oh yeah, forgot - brena and gravity are ace also.

Gotta pack, moving back to newcastle tomorrow.\m/

EmbraceRandom 09-18-2010 06:09 AM

Sweet. I've got 2 weeks today until I'm back at uni, starting an MA

The_Mop 09-19-2010 04:17 PM

Well, the lod's been dead enough for me to be able to move to newcastle and take all my shite....and then wait a day.... in the space of 2 posts :P

Installing Stranglehold atm, bought it for 2 quid a couple of days ago. Anyone played it?

Also, anyone who likes to clean trousers will want to have a play of this:

EmbraceRandom 09-20-2010 12:13 PM

shit mx is back online?!

I feel outcast.

(I had an account on here years ago, I'm not a complete noob)

Left Face Down 09-20-2010 03:30 PM

Yeah, some other company purchased the name and now it provides like... "legal" tabs and crap.

Sad But True 09-20-2010 05:10 PM

I haven't seriously used a tab in years, last time I needed one it was for the Selkies sweeps, but every single one of them was wrong so I ended up just doing it myself anyway.

JoshIsNumber3 09-21-2010 06:04 PM

looks like they'll never let lfd be in the army here

Left Face Down 09-21-2010 07:33 PM

What makes you think I would want to be in the army anywhere? I have something akin to bifocular (made up word seeing there isn't one) vision anyways. Legally blind in the left, near sighted, and 20/20 in the right. I'm right eye dominant and can actually switch between my eyes as the predominant one I'm looking out of. So I'd fail the eye test.

Which I'm sure Josh yawns at, unless he happens to be an optometrist.

JoshIsNumber3 09-21-2010 08:45 PM

i mean you like guys
